Australia's Next Top Model

Agreed, quite a few stunning girls weren't even selected for the finalists!

Yet another show, cast for personalities etc. Dajana really shouldn't be there at all.

The only one with any potential for success IMO is Melissa, but her lack of height...damn.

I'm going to go ahead and blame the new production company for this lackluster season. They've ruined MasterChef Australia also by casting sob stories and dramatic personalities over pure talent.

Now that Taylah is gone, I guess I'm rooting for Abbie or Shanali. Melissa is just disappointingly tiny.

This season is becoming the boring version of ANTM. The way they handled the Taylah situation is just ridiculous. The challenges are so not related to modeling and the photoshoots are lackluster. So are the girls.

I agree - it must be the production company - so many good seasons and then this disaster... Abbie and Shanali are the two most viable options... I suppose Duckie could be a contender as well but there is something about her I'm not totally liking...

Regarding Melissa it really is a shame about her height because she's pretty incredible otherwise - there are a handful of itty-bitties working steadily though - Katiusha Feofanova, Anja Konstantinova, and (somewhat less vertically challenged) Kristine Froseth, and Bambi Northwood-Blyth come to mind... so her being successful after the show isn't outside the realm of impossible... I hope she is.

I'm a bit behind, just watched second episode. I seriously don't see any standouts, no Cassi's or Montana's. Let's be honest the girl who wins this series will most likely fade aways like the previous winners...

ergh, all the remaining girls are so average. I think I am rooting for Shenali.
Duckie is beautiful but it seems she can't do anything but the smiling/laughing shots. her final photo for the gym shoot was also a laughing shot, while all the other girls were serious/fierce.

ashley is just a sook (not referring to the Taylah incident, but in all other eps she has cried about something stupid. the girls were all laughing at each others walks last night. she seems like a brat who can't take criticism), she wouldn't last in the industry.

dijana will prob do well in the aussie street wear market because she just looks like any pretty girl in the street. I can imaging her modelling for one teaspoon etc.

i barely even remember the rest.

I read somewhere that Melissa grew a bit taller after the show. She's around 173cm now, hopefully she'll grow to at least 175cm.

re: the elimination

she had it coming. i agree with the judges.

rooting for Shanali! girl could make it big!

Ashley is a sneaky one, who needs to stop playing the victim.
Dajana looked like a 45 yr old woman in her photo last week.
This series is the pits 0_o

Despite what she says in this episode, it's Dajana who fangirls at everything in every episode. It's really ANNOYING.

Im abit sad about the girl who went home.. she is alot better in pictures then some of the others (EG. Dajana, Abbie, Jade)

Shanali is hitting out great pics all the time. Love her.

I agree. She's been eliminated for the wrong reasons.
There is nothing special about Abbie, and Dajana - just NO.
I think Jade could be a model, but not top model material.

^ the judges thought it was really good. I didnt see it. i thought it was the worst photo from all the shoots.

^^ I agree, Duckie's photo was 0_o

Even Duckie was like 0_o at the photo.

I still believe that the only girl who could work internationally is Melissa. She looks as tall as Ashley, and even as tall as Shannon, yet they keep talking about Melissa's height.

Completely agree. Melissa looks as tall as some of the girls(minus Abbie) even though she's wearing flats most of the time while the rest are in heels.

I also may be the only one but I don't see the "it factor" with Shanali. Her face is alright but her body proportion(short legs, long torso) makes the clothes look not so good.

Duckie won't make it past the casting-episode.

I thought Duckie would be going with that photo, don't get how the judges love it, lol.
Ashley really needs to stop whining and crying over everything. Her photo isn't the weakest, but she fails to look like a model in person and Alex obviously dislike her.
I think Shannon is the next to go? She has quite a lot of bad angles....... she's really one of the less photogenic girls there.

FOXTEL star Charlotte Dawson is quitting television because it's too nasty and negative.

Dawson, 47, is retreating to the quiet life as a real estate agent, where she won't be judged for her looks or age.

She told Herald Sun Confidential: ``I'm tired of the anxiety that comes with working in media, especially as a woman, because you're scrutinised daily, and abused about the way you look.

"I'm ageing and I'm accepting that. The graceful thing, the dignified thing, is to walk away.''

Dawson, most famous for her role as a judge on Australia's Next Top Model, was hospitalised after a widely publicised fight with Twitter trolls last year.

She has also battled depression.

"Mental illness is a very difficult to manage especially when you're in the public eye,'' she said. "That inspired me to do what I can, work really hard, and get out of the game altogether.''

She has taken a job at Regency Real Estate in Sydney _ with a focus on affordable housing and initiatives to combat homelessness.

"The pressure has lifted off my shoulders. It's given me great piece of mind,'' Dawson said.

"It's time to be respectful to myself.

"My goal is to have a sense of well-being and quality of life.''

Dawson will tidy up the few media commitments she has left.

She visited Ballarat last week for Foxtel's Country Music Channel.

"Then I'll morph into the new world,'' she said. "It's a clean break.''

She added: "It's been wonderful (to work in media). But a lot of my anxieties and upsets have been due to very public canings.

"I don't have children, I don't have a mother and a father, I don't have a family, I don't have a partner.

"I'm a sole provider.

"I have to put food in my mouth and a roof over my head so I'm walking away.''
