Definite NG vibes. I guess he's just picking from the archives. I feel kinda bad for the guy, actually. Chances are, after the NG thing, they're just telling him what to design & hoping that Balenciaga can be like Chanel where people will still buy the clothes based on the name despite the questionable pieces on the runway.

It's sort of difficult to judge this based on the pictures, but I do love that opening look.

All the white & mesh pieces are irrelevant. The floral pants are hideous. His not referencing Balenciaga, his referencing Nicolas. At least Raf references Dior and not Galliano...

His first collection for the house was stronger and consistent.

I'm waiting for better pictures, but so far so good. Of course he is referencing Nicholas's work a lot, but when the result is so well done I really cannot complain.
