I cannot see a thread for this, so I am starting one here. I will post the collection in its entirety, as women's then men's. Hope this is okay - first time I have started a thread.

Okay, here's the men's which was actually first on the runway, and apparently the men dropped from ropes down onto the catwalk; one of the casting calls said: "are you afraid of heights?"

I think it's a very hip and fun looking collection - would love a number of the women's looks: really like the light gray pantsuit and a number of those floaty navy blue printed dresses, tops and skirts. Plus those black boots. Even some of the men's items would make great "boyfriend" pieces to borrow.

It was Scott Sternberg from Band of Outsiders' first time putting on a runway show, which made for a heightened tizzy beforehand. And between the drama surrounding Tavi's seat directly next to Anna Wintour, Kanye's presence across the aisle, and all those Momofuku cookies dotting the benches (delivered personally by David Chang, who sat across from La Wintour), it seemed like the post-show energy was already at a fever pitch. But then the models plummeted down from the ceiling, and we remembered just how much Scott Sternberg's showmanship trumps all. Inspired by the romantic, hippie communities in '70s-era California, his three distinct lines each touched on those stoned-sweetheart references without diving into patchouli territory. There were his signature plaids, trousers, shirt-dresses, and jackets, but also soft bucket hats and red-laced boots that every woman-in-the-know will want to wear next fall. Scott has an ability to make every girl and boy want to be a Californian at heart—something we look forward to feeling each and every Fashion Week.

Here's a link to Fashionologie's take on their first runway show:

the band of outsiders collection had a level of refinement and luxury that one doesn't normally associate with this line. yes, the pearls and fur help, but there's something languorous and patrician in the way these clothes are cut and constructed. while it has that lack of fussiness we love about band of outsiders, it offers something very dressed up and mature which marks new territory for this label.

band of outsiders is nice, this season is no exception, sober colours, nice fabrics, nice cut and nice design. the only concern i have about them is the price, it is very expensive, where i live, a wool coat from them cost up to 2500. not sure if it is the same in US though.

I like what I see.

The men part is amazing. Not one miss.

this might be one of my favorite collections so far...

This collection is starting to arrive in stores and it looks fabulous. Preppy and expensive, kind of like what Polo was waaaaay back in the day, but with a cooler edge to it. I think many of the pieces are worth the splurge!
