Best Lip Balm

I have the mango lip butter and the coconut one. Both moisturise well and smell amazing and the best bit is no petroleum :)

i heard that when you use petroleum (chapstick, vaseline) on your lips it makes them soft but then when you stop using it they seem to get drier than ever but with the body shop ones if i forget to reapply theyre still nice and soft :)

I personally don't even think petroleum jelly is a moisturizer. It's too thick to absorb into the skin. On my jar of pure peroleum jelly it says nothing about moisture, but rather that it's a skin protectant. So it has it's place, but maybe not on your lips. I would lather it on in extreme cold with high winds, but still over a moisturizer.

^ There was a magazine beauty editor on tv the other day and she said whatever you do DON'T put Vaseline on your face!

I think the thing about petroleum is that it acts as a moistureblock so you don't lose so much moisture, but that also means it sort of doesn't allow things to breath. So overall it's a bad effect since it suffocates without adding extra water, since there is no water in the product and that's what moisturizes.

*SHOCK*:o :o

I LOVE to put Vaseline on my face! Esp before I go to bed, cause then I wake up with super duper soft skin in the morning.

Yep, that's what I found when I used vaseline. I use Nivea Hydro Care, suuuper moisturising for your lips! Plus it's only a couple of bucks. Also keep in mind dry lips are signs of dehydration. Perhaps a glass of water would be helpful too.

i'll second that Burts Bees. that stuff is amazing it leaves your lips all minty and tingly and you cant beat the price:)

Alba Passion Fruit Nectar lip balm, it's got a nice shine to it and keeps my lips moisturized for hours.

You can find it at CVS for $3 or something

I third Burt's Bees. They have tons of 'flavors' as well. I currently have the pomegranate & the lip shimmer in raisin. I will try out the honey next time around.
