Me personally love when style icons like B make clothing lines and she collabing with her mom thatis soo cool.I have seen some of Tina and Beyonce's clothes and they are soo cool.It is really mean how yall hating on her.Get a life and dont get mad bc you cant make a Line.

You have to admit that her mother's designing skills have come a long way from the beginning years of Beyonce to now. The stuff she used to make was ridiculously hideous. I agree with some of you who think it is annoying when stars bring out their own clothing lines, but I think this case is a little different since her mother has ALWAYS been a clothing designer. This is her mother's second dream come true (the first being seeing her daughter become a star). Lets be honest, this isn't really beyonce's clothing line, it is her mother's clothing line. Beyonce is the spokes model. Every top fashion designer has a "spokes model". Beyonce is to house of dereon what Tyra is to Victoria Secret.

I don't like the clothes- and I don't like celebrity designers- but I still want to stand up for this. I think this is not just another celebrity trying to capitolise in another way on thier own suces. I think beyonce's mother has always wanted to do this, and I just really want her to be sucessful in some way. I think she does have talent as far as construction ect- but she needs to Simplify Simplify Simplify- all of this just has too much going on-

I can't believe HOD has actually gotten backing. Unless you have Big hips and Big thighs, it won't fit us anyways. Beyonce has ok style but her mom started this line so that her daughter could have glam clothes that actually fit her....
I'm a very stylish black, so I'm not just "hating" on black women... I would never buy this stuff.

I don't hold it against Beyonce and Tina that they want to get into clothing. But at the moment that is all they are doing; producing clothes. Fashion is incredibly ephemeral and it's about more than just churning out the same as everybody else but specifically for a target audience (e.g. "curvy women"). I'm not saying that it's wrong, or unallowable (far from it), to do this. It's just my opinion that this isn't Fashion. For me, to be considered a real design house, there has to be that adrenaline spike when one sees the clothes; that soft 'wow' that is uttered under one's breath. House of Dereon isn't that (and many collections masquerading as fashion lines aren't that, either). I wish Tina and Beyonce all the luck for the future, but they're not quite there just yet. Take this example from the House of Dereon website (www.houseofdereon.com):

True Beyonce has a lot of taste when it comes to clothes and baby she can pull it off she has one hell of an *** lol, but wearing and designing clothes arent the same thing, u gotta be skilled to be a good designer. If her mother is good at it then let it be, but Beyonce should stick to singing. If she ended up with her own label shed be put alongside Donatella, John and Karl as a fashion designer which just sounds wrong.

Trust me, no one is hating on her as you put it and her fame is what her allowed her to be able to make a line in the first place, maybe you don't realised what is involved in making a line. Don't let your love of Beyonce cloud your judgement on whether the designs actually have any merit whatsoevr, THEY DON'T.

Perhaps her clothing line does not warrant any "merit" to YOU. Now the operative question here is -- Does that concern Beyonce and her mother?

Absolutely not. The fashion show will still go on and sales will still be coming in.

Again, they know who their audience is; they know who they are marketing this line to --- and it is NOT toward young, caucasian females -- so does your opinion really matter......actually, it really, really doesn't. It won't affect these sales because you are not in their demographics.


Maybe you can spend some time looking over Nicki Hilton's line, that might be more up your alley.

Again, people are soooo jealous because she is incredibly beautiful, incredibly rich and at the top of game!

That's all it boils down too, design students mad and jealous b/c they can't even get in the door! Just goes back to that old saying "don't hate the players that make it happen, hate the game"B)

you might want to read through your comments before you post, i can't understand any of that misspelled jargon you just posted.

As I've said many times before in this thread. Don't like her line, just not for you -- hey, move on.......... there are plenty of other apparel lines to choose from.
