Bitten by Sarah Jessica Parker

i was already covering the event for a writing assignment, so i picked up some basic t-shirts, some underwear, a denim mini (mine just fell apart after seven years) oh, and a suit jacket. i have to say that i liked the t-shirts a lot, the denim mini is a lot nicer than i thought it'd be as is the jacket. overall everything is of old navy/target quality, but the prices are less expensive. i'm not blown away, but i'm pleased, esp. since my expectations weren't too high.

I am currently wearing the white shirt with black polka dots and elastic around the sleeves, keyhole, and little pearl button- and I can tell already tell I will be adjusting this all day.

I am wearing that right now too! I haven't had to do much adjusting because I am lacking in the chest area, but I did have to cut out the plastic hanger straps because they kepy popping out.

i thought the collection had some wearable basics. nothing really wowed me though. the quality was mediocre, but for the price it was reasonable. shirts, tanks, shorts, jackets, and dresses for less than $20 each- can't beat that. i did grab some cotton tees and tanks with cute pics and writings (less than $8), as i liked the way they were cut. most of the stuff did remind me of old navy or gap. i think that because i went in with low expectations, i was pleasantly surprised.

hmmm, i'm going to have to go to steve & barrys tomorrow and check out her line....
i'm interested in the feel of the pieces....
those of you who purchased bitten...how does it feel?
how does it wear?
has anyone washed anything yet? did it hold up?

i'm curious.

The quality isn't the best in the world by any means, but when you consider the price of the items, the quality is pretty good. I find the clothes to be comfortable too. I suggest trying everything on first for sure. Also, make you sure that you thoroughly inspect the items before buying. I got a pair of shorts, but I noticed that the threads were hanging off the ones that I was standing with on line and went and got a different pair. I haven't washed them yet, so I am not sure how well they hold up. I really do like the tees an awful lot. They are great basics to have.

I made the 1.5 hour drive into the nearest college town to check out this collection. Unfortunately most of it had been raided and there were lots of empty areas where clothes used to be so I don't know what I missed. I did end up leaving with a cute black, double-breasted shift-like blazer, a really nice fitted denim jacket (not same as the one on the site), and the cute blue-and-white striped ruffle button-down cap-sleeve shirt. Not bad for under $50.

My sister got the roll up denim capris, a denim mini, 3 of the print t-shirts which were nice, a denim jacket like mine, a bag, a necklace and a ring all for around $100.00.

I was impressed with what I saw. The pricing made the clothes irresistable and these clothes were more stylish than what you see for comparable prices at some place like Walmart. The fitting was good. I was shocked at how good my blazer and denim jacket fit. The denim jacket fit like a shirt which is the kind I like.

I really wanted some of the wide-legged pants I saw on the site but didn't see any. I don't know if they sold out or were never stocked at all since it was obvious a lot of stuff had sold out.

On "opening day" at my store, one of the sales associates told me that because they anticipated selling out of everything, they were holding some new items in the back and were not going to put them out yet. Many women were angry about this and were making remarks about how not everything they saw online was in the store. I guess it is there little way of making us all come back!

I see nothing unique in her line and don't know why it was necessary at all.

Is any fashion line really necessary?

There can never be too many affordable, well-made fashion lines IMO.

cosmo, i really liked the tees too. i like my tees thin and soft, so these were great and the price made it even better. i got the grey tee that says "fashion is not a luxury". the font reminded me of stephen sprouse.

Absolutely- that goes double for cute affordable lines by stars who I happen to really like. :P

I'll give you affordable but I can't say Bitten is well-made. And it's repeating what's been done and is being done all over the place already.

This line is actually okay. I used to hate it, but now that I look at it, I don't mind it. I'm young, so I could easily see myself wearing stuff like this. It's not anything special or something I'd really treasure. Plus, I don't have money, so the price is great.

it's basic american casualwear, cute and laidback. it's about as same quality as old navy or target, and more inexpensive to boot. it's not a fashion revelation, but it's not meant to be. i didn't have many expectations going on, but when i was inside the store i was pleasantly surprised.

i picked up a pair of the boyfriend jeans and was pretty happy with them. the front pockets aren't that deep, but the denim is okay and the cut is pretty decent on me. and they're only $15! that's less than most DVDs!

I am finding the tees to be really great. I am definitely going to stock up on more colors and designs. :D

Not sure if it was mentioned, but SJP and "Bitten" are featured in O Magazine right now. The models are wearing the pieces in lots of ways I never would have thought of before. For instance, the long red and white striped tank is shown with a dark grey short sleeve tee over it. You might want to check it out when you're in the grocery store line.

one only hopes that all of those who partake in this collection will learn the value of saving up for that one special piece of the season in the way that sjp herself has exemplified in her styling both onscreen and off. all of these clothes would stop traffic when accessorized with leighton jewels or louboutin heels.

I have that top too but in black!

Ive been Bitten too. The tee shirts are the best thing I think.
I picked up a denim jacket, capri jeans, some tees, the hooded sweat in blue, and some jewelry..which by the way I totally love-Im a sucker for jewelry like this, I had to stop myself.
The store was practically packed when I went.

I have to go back for more tees, jewelry and maybe a bag.
I have a soft spot for SJP ever since Girls Just Want to Have Fun, SATC and actually meeting her person backstage after a play. She took pics with me and man is she tiny in person! She was very sweet even though she knew I followed her into the ladies room.

For me, you cant go wrong with affordability and comfort.

I am wearing a Bitten tee for the 3rd day in a row now! (Just for the record, it has been a different one each day. LOL.) They are really comfy and fit me just right. I plan to stock up on some more tomorrow.
