Yeah, I see that it's all over Steve and Barry's. Their stuff there is usually really, really cheap but if it's cheap, won't that make the clothes cheap too?

^ Actually the quality on most items is pretty good...not wonderful, but as you basically said, you get what you pay for. Nonetheless, I am a big fan of the tees. They are very flattering on me.

i concur on the tees. on me they are great! pretty much my favorite t-shirts right now.

I went and checked it out last weekend...I didnt realize how big the line was until I actually saw it in person. I didn't try anything on b/c I was in a rush. The quality seemed alright but not out of this world...None the less the section of the store w/ Bitten was packed w/ customers.

I just got back from the store and the entire place is marked 50-70% off EXCEPT Bitten and Dear. They still had the same old Bitten merchandise they've had for awhile now. I want them to restock already!!!!! I still bought two tees though.

I have a few items from her line, and one of my friends really liked them and wanted to check out the other things in the store. I warned her that the store was not in the nicest part of the city before she went. Well, she called me from the car, and was like, "I am terrified to go inside. This place is so ghetto!" I told her not to say that I didn't warn her... She literally went in the store and out immediately because she was so scared. I just sucked it up and shopped. Nothing gets in the way of shopping for me...not even the threat of being mugged or kidnapped!

Just because it's in a bad part of the city doesn't mean you should be scared of getting raped or kidnapped. That's really silly IMO. People have to shop in the ghetto too

I cannot believe people would be scared to shop in a ghetto. They must be very Stupid to be afraid to be around reality! Not everything in life is wealthy and Chic. Not everyone is born on the same economic level. Silly that the clothes we call expensive is made by people that live in Ghettos. Why be so scared to go and shop in there neighborhood. Or as we like to call it the "ghetto"

I don't blame anyone for feeling uncomfortable in a high-crime area, especially if you're female. Sorry if it's politically incorrect, but it's a fact of life.

That said, I don't live in a hardscrabble city and my closest S&B is in a reasonably safe downtown mall.

I wouldn't call people stupid for not wanting to shop in a bad area. It's common sense, and if the people that lived there had a choice, I'm sure they wouldn't want to shop there either. I know someone that just got lost and stopped for directions in an unsafe area a few months ago. A cop actually stopped her and told her "Get out of here. You are a target. You're putting your life in danger."

Most people in low income areas are not criminals who are going to rob you. Acting afraid of everyone you see just because of the area you are in is a bit over-the-top and kinda prejudiced. I realize though that people are conditioned to feel this way so can't criticize your friend.
