Body Scars and Stretchmarks

^ Yes but you won't see results until after a month or so..

Body Shop coco butter or shea butter is really good for stretchmarks too and I really reccomend you get 'Bio Oil' from the chemist.

drinking lots of water and eating foods with vitamin e (like raw, natural almonds) every day helps me. doing butt/thigh exercises makes stretch marks in those areas less visible too. after 30 minutes on an elliptical the appearance of my stretch marks was greatly reduced.

don't fret though! stretch marks aren't the end of the world. wear a bikini and be proud! there are a lot of worse things that could be wrong with you than stretch marks!

great advice laurea. stretchmarks are a badge of honour that all women who have gone through puberty have.

Bio-oil is fantastic and really works! Faded my acne scars like 95%!

I have so many scars from tripping and scraping my knee to chicken pox from 2nd grade! I know they're supposed to be permanent... but are there any secrets that you guys know of to get rid of or lessen their appearance?

Thanks guys.

I've heard you are to put it on the scar. But either should work, I think. Vitamina E also straightens out crooked members. B)

I agree about Mederma. I used it on a scar I had my hand from stitches and it totally worked. You apply it several times a day for best results and can find it at Wal-mart, CVS, Target, etc.

What to do ? - Scars and Discoloration from Plucking Ingrow Hair

Over the years I've been plucking ingrown hairs that have appeared on my lower stomach and they've left brownish scars that are so discoloured from the rest of my skin. I can't wear 2-piece bathing suits!

The worst thing is that these hairs keep growing back thicker and I keep having to pluck them so my problem is not going away.
Can anyone recommend any non-surgical options that will get rid of scars due to plucking??

As im not a big fan of methodes that "might" work, or remedies where you have to show a very good will to be able to view some results, id say first get rid of the problem by removing the hairs using laser..your skin is discolored from a build up of pigments arround the scars, its natures way of protecting the skin while it heals and sun exposure will make it worse..any form of cemical peeling will remove the dark color. If you have developed pit scars im afraid laser is the only option (personal experience)..Dont waste your money on creams that might not work..Id say stop plucking and deal with the problem in a way where its no doubt that the scars/hairs are gone

Consistent use of wheat germ oil has been shown to promote scar healing, and it's among one of the best sources of vitamin e. Also, to greatly decrease the chance of rancidity, the oil should be stored in a refrigerator once opened.

I have a pretty bad dark scar and applying coconut body butter to it every night has helped a bit. I've only been doing this for about two weeks, so the results are pretty good to me already.

I have had personal experience with the use of Vitamin E, capsules, broken open, and contents used on scars, almost immediatly after the events that caused them.
When i stayed in India, i had the full contents, of a jug of boiling hot water accidentally thrown over my chest.
Also was in serious car crash, had thirty six stitches from hairline, down to eyebrow, and across.
With the use of Vitamin E, chest completely cleared up...no trace what so ever.
Other scar is visible, but very few people notice it.

I had major surgery a couple of years ago and I still have scars but I find that the thing that has worked the best for me is vitamin E and shea or cocoa butter. I really like the Body Shop products and lately I have been using Palmer's coca butter formula with Vitamin E! I love it!
