Boobs

I went on the pill when i was 19 and my boobs went from a B to a C. I also put on weight else where. Then when i was 22 i changed prescriptions and my boobs went back to B but sometimes if i put on a little weight they would go to a C. Then i went off the pill at about 24 and they went down to a B for about a year, i also lost weight from going off the pill. But since i was about 25 i have been a C cup permanently.

It's not fair to say that one definately gains weight on the pill. That's something really only a doctor can advise you but it's an individual experience. My doctor said to me when I first went on the pill that the pill doesn't make you gain weight, some people just eat more when they are on it. I never gained any weight. So it's unique to every person, there are no guarantee's either way.

^I haven't gained any weight either since I went on the pill, but then again I wasn't really hoping to. I figure that some women gain weight because of the hormones from the pill and how they react in their bodies, as well as increased appetite when on the pill for some.

Thats true that you can't say that going on the pill does make you put on weight, however for my own experience I am 99% sure my weight gain was from going on the pill as I didn't increase my eating and i had small breaks through out the time i was on the pill and each time i lost weight only to put it on again when i resumed the pill.

On another topic i have always loved my boobs until last week when i bought a beautiful dress on ebay which fitted everywhere except the boob area, it was way too small

medically speaking, the pill unfortunately makes the body retain water, and that is why you "gain weight." but it's really not weight, it's just that you are bloated due to the water retention!

hope that clears things up.

No, the pill definitely doesn't make everyone gain weight. I'm on it and if anything I've lost some. Unfortunately, not in the boobs :( If there's anything guaranteed to ruin a good outfit by making me buy tops/dresses that're 2 sizes too big and hang weirdly on the rest of me, it's boobs. Fashion just doesn't like boobs.

^ you probably don't retain water and go to the bathroom a whole lot, and that's why you haven't "gained weight" while on the pill. although like i said... it just feels like one is gaining weight, but they aren't. they are just retaining water.

^ it does, but it's not fat or muscle and it can easily be resolved by taking a water pill that will help your system with going to the bathroom and getting rid of that water. so in all actuality, it's not really weight that has to be burned.

When I go to buy bras I often find that, even though the cup size is fine, the underwire does not go in a wide enough curve. Instead of going along the edges of my breasts, under my arms it is actually on my breasts. The cups are the right size (actually slightly baggy on my smaller boob: if I needed bigger cups this would not be the case), it is only the underwire that causes a problem. I think it is because the size is more in the width rather than the protrusion. Does anybody know any brands/stores that have bras containing underwires with wider curves?

I'm a 32 C and my ex used to make comments about my size! Right before my period I get huge (and after I deflate, lol). But my chest is mostly rounder and that's what causes the C cup, I end up falling out of a B, but it's funny because I'm thin and have these naturally bigger boobs.

BTW: I found that drinking loads of water really inflates mine =).

I would maybe go up a cup. Usually an underwire will go over too much and if you go up a cup it should look better.

It may not make everyone gain weight, but it certainly makes everyone feel as if they have. Being on the pill is like constant water retention...you notice a lot of symptoms similar to pregnancy. I'm so glad I'm off the hormones.

Though if a 32B is already a little baggy on my smaller breast, wouldn't a 32C be too big for both? If I measure my breasts individually one is a full B and the other a small B. I think it's pretty unlikely I will fill C cups even if the underwire is then wide enough. :(

I found out my hubby's sister and one of his ex girlfriends have the same problems as me: his sister needs an underwire for a D cup on a C cup bra and the ex needed a B cup underwire on an A cup bra. I think his sister just gets by with wearing ill-fitting bras, but he said a push-up bra in B (the bigger cup size) was good for the ex. Maybe I will try that the next time and see if it works.

IMO, bras are too warm for summertime :P

Oh, that is almost dirty!

I certainly do.

The thing I hate about my boobs is that they are sort of pointy. :ermm: But what I love is that boobs are like fingerprints: no two [pairs] are the same!

No, it doesn't. Please don't generalise.
