Boobs

I don't like my boobs (too small) but i would never change anything about em. They have never got in my way or given me any pain whatsoever. I saw a doccumentary on tv last night about women who are addicted to boob jobs and it showed a lot of the entire process of breast implanting and also another one via injection which was really fast and lasts up to 24 months. All painful, I am scarred inside for life. My boobs hurt just by watching all that footage.

I know everyone thought I was absolutely bat-sh*t insane  for thinking popular bra sizing theory is incorrect, but... I'm curious to know what everyone thinks of sites like these (especially the first one:(

http://weblog.xanga.com/eternalvoyageur/651169092/the-bra-matrix.html (uses European bra measurements)

Basically they have a theory that the rule of adding 5 to your underbust measurement to get your band size is rubbish. I was already beginning to wonder this myself as 32 always seemed kind of baggy on me (can fit more than two hands underneath the band on the loosest hook of brand new bras and you're only supposed to be able to fit two fingers) and cups have never fit properly even now that I have bigger boobs. I was also suspicious of how 32, 34 and 36 band sizes cover several different underbust measurements, whereas 38 and up covers only the exact underbust measurement in inches. Surely, if a woman with a 40 inch ribcage must have a 40 band size, a woman with a 30 inch ribcage must have a 30 inch band size... Not a 32 or 34.

A lot of the rules that show you are wearing a good-fitting bra are not true when I wear what popular theory dictates to me as my correct bra size (32:cool:. So when I came across sites like these and fora with women trying smaller band sizes and finding a far more comfortable bra (many with similar measurements to myself: small underbust) I only became more convinced that I need a smaller band size. I've read if I go down a band size and up a cup size I get the same depth in the cup as the current bra I am trying, but with wider underwires, which is exactly what I need because 32B bra underwires are too narrow but the cups themselves are filled and not overflowing or bulging anywhere. Plus there is no way I would fill a 32C if it is a bit baggy on the right breast despite the underwire being too narrow on that boob too.

So the next time I'm back in the UK I'm getting some 30C and perhaps even 28D bras (I need underwires around an inch wider and don't know how much the underwire expands with band size changes) and seeing if they fit better or worse than 32Bs.

Big Boobs ? Bad News.

BIG BOOBS ? BAD NEWS.

Marks & Spencer has defended a policy of charging extra on some of its bras that are bigger than a size DD.
The High Street retailer said that the added cost - typically £2 - was "standard industry practice".
M&S added it found most customers "were happy to pay a small premium for the specialist work" needed to make larger sizes of their bras.
But the policy has drawn protests with 900 people joining a Busts 4 Justice protest group on the Facebook website.
Its founders argue it is unfair that smaller bras are cheaper, because this logic does not apply to other clothes.

'Unfair tax'
Beckie Williams, 25, from Brighton, said she set up the social networking site group after an "unsatisfactory" correspondence with the retailer. She said M&S replied to her letter claiming the extra material needed lay behind the higher price at the tills.

"That's fair enough," Ms Williams told BBC Radio Five Live. "But they don't apply the same policy to other clothes that use more material and more resources to make as well.
"I just think it should be one policy for all items of clothing."

'Comprehensive collection'
The M&S website advertises the Ceriso Polka Dot Padded Bra for £12, rising to £14 for the version for DD to G sizes.
There are similar differences in price for other ranges, though many of the store's more basic designs cost the same, no matter the size.

M&S said it offered "the most comprehensive DD+ collection and one of the most competitively priced on the High Street" and offered the same choice of colour, styles and shapes for all customers "no matter what size they take".
It also said the majority of its customers had told it they were happy to pay a small premium for the specialist work on larger size bras.
"Our bras are much less expensive than many other specialist larger cup size lingerie retailers, where they could cost around £60 or more," the firm added.

'Never benefited'
Ms Williams said that £2 was not a huge sum to pay but that it was still "an unfair tax".
"This is not something that we have chosen," she said.
"And I have been a size 8 all my adult life, but have never benefited from smaller priced pants.
"If you don't charge a size 20 woman more for a pair of trousers, then why should you pay more for an E cup bra?" Most of the those posting comments on the Busts 4 Justice site are supportive of the women's efforts.

Being smaller than average already leads to unfair prices. When I was an AA most of the non-padded (we don't always want push-up bras) AAA-A cup bras were only made by specific companies and were therefore a great deal more expensive than the 'normal' bras despite using less material. The same applies to petite clothing. I find that if I want something that fits a petite woman properly I am paying more than the average woman for the exact same piece of clothing with less material.

Being more or less than average is always going to cause problems and people will always find reasons to justify charging those who are not average more money whether it is fair or not.

I went up 2 cup sizes in under 1 month. All the bras I have are useless now :( I'm a 34DD which I think is too big for me but my younger sister is 32G so I can only imagine how she must feel

due to hyperthyroidism i lost a quite big amount of weight in the past months - but my boobs didn't shrink AT ALL  i'm not unhappy about it, but it really looks kind of weird in proportion with the rest of my body now...
