Boston shopping

Oh...I should have mentioned this earlier...so dont throw tomatoes/stones at me.

Saks, while under renovation is having a huge sale right now. Tons of ladies shoes, and even designer pieces are being marked down considerably. I saw some women's racks even marked down like 60%

-Yawn- Wow I haven't posted here in a while. I have neglected you all :(

Well I went shopping at Tar-zjey last night haha. I noticed they have a lot of stuff similar to those at american eagle. Quality probably plays a huge factor in the difference but it was a pleasant surprise. I got two pique polos, a crew neck tee, some bermuda sweat pants and cute little bobby pins with silouhettes glued to em.

Also, today when I was in Providence, Rhode Island, I went to the providence place mall for a bit. Even though it's not Boston, I thought I'd throw in a little bit about it anyway. I haven't been in a Nordstroms for so long, their store in providence is really nice. They had a bunch of reduced jeans that I wanted to try on, but I didn't have enough time. Question though, what's with the tacky 'homemade' looking scrapbook hoodies with puff sleeves? There were like ten racks of them. The only ones that I really remotely liked were royal blue with black and white tweed front pockets.

Old navy had some cute doggie things too. Little hot pink polos with white collars for Paris Hilton type dogs hahaha. My roommate bought one for her new maltese.

Serenella is no more but we have Gucci, LV, Longchamp, Jimmy Choo, Polo, LaCoste, Sonia Rykiel, St John, Escada, Burberry, Valentino. Hermés, LaPerla, Bally, YSL in NM.,Anthropplogie, two H&MS, Dona Karen, Campers, Petite Bateau, and so many more

I popped into G Star and found a great pair of pants. and picked up some tees from AA.

I love Newbury st.

Went to the Macy's about the Chestnut Hill Mall today. I knew they were having a great sale for the Holiday weekend, and thought it was a great chance to score some cheap pants for work.

The whole mens section is GONE!! They had a little Ralph Lauren, a little Calvin Klien and a few suit stuff. The rest was all cleared out for remodeling or something.

So...I didnt find anything.

The zara on newbury street is really coming along and so is the Mango at the Pru. i wish i knew what the projected opening dates are. i can't wait!!

do you think they're relatively soon, as in, in time for fall/winter clothes? or is it looking more like a spring opening...

and yes, I'm asking you to just guess ^_^

well, the mango store is going to be a bit small im gathering based on the previous store's layout. i think the zara store is going to take longer. im going to go ask some of the SA's in the adjacent stores if they know anything.

the zara store at the natick collection is apparently open.

I had NO idea there even was one there! man, I had planned to head out there on saturday and got too lazy, I would have totally gone if I had known

what store is the mango replacing? can you tell I haven't been to the pru in ages....

has anyone gotten a chance to check out the natick collection yet?
i was over there today at the target, kohl's and stopped by shopper's world but couldn't stomach trying to tackle the mall over the weekend

i saw through the glass that there is an anthropologie there too and got really excited! :woot:

i'm gonna try to swing by on my home from work some day this week if i can manage it..

maybe i'll leave my wallet at home though because i spent way too much $ this weekend

trying to look for things that i can return so i can feel less guilty :shifty:

Where is the Zara on Newbury going to be?

Not that I can shop there, darn Euro fits.

the zara is going to be in the place where emporio armani and armani cafe is.

i think the mango is replacing some no-name store that i never went into in the mall.

i think the zara boston store going to be bigger than the zaras that are in NYC. :woot:

i have never seen any good deals at the anthropologie on boylston street.

Ahh...I was wondering what was going to be there now.

On another note about Newbury. I just looked at some of those newly renovated condos.

OMG they are nice, and bigger than I had thought too. But they were 1.4 million.

Maybe Ill look into an older, not yet renovated, needs a lot of work condo over Newbury st.

^Trust--the condos on Newbury street are extremely overpriced...Thousands of dollars for a ramshackle broomcloset..For that price, you might as well live in NY..

You'd only be paying for location..and the food on that street isnt even worth it either.. :/

I cant help but wonder how long the Mango store will last...That spot has seen, like, 5 different businesses in the 7 years Ive been here (or at least it seems that way)..

These places were actually pretty big. Bigger than what I have now.

I like where Im at, but Im deciding if I want to move into a highrise in downtown, or a cute rowhouse of some sort or something in the North End.

Ive never been in a Mango. Do they have men's?? I moved before they opened in FLA.

Also, the Saks renovations are almost done, the top floor is just about finished.

Have you shopped online for Vintage? There are some great places to save $$$ and shop for unique clothing

ehhh i wish Boston shopping was better... ive been here for a few years and these are the only places I go: Barneys in copley, Hermes, Marc Jacobs, and sometimes Stel's and Alan Bilzerian.... everything else i order online or buy in LA or NYC.

^There's a Bilzerian near me in Newton. I haven't gone yet... I fear eveything's gonna be too expensive...

ive gotten some good bargains at Bilzerian. their shoe sales can be excellent. and they carry some cheaper brands like stella mccartney for adidas and converse.
