It’s not groundbreaking but it’s decent.
It’s very Tom Ford for Gucci (FW96 And FW2001) and Prada (FW2009). As usual, the knitwear, the simpler pieces, the tailoring are great.
For the clothes, the problem is the « show pieces ». They are ridiculous and they are too much of a clash next to the very practical and desirable pieces.
This will always be funny but to me, the least desirable thing at BV is the accessories.
I think that ultimately, the problem with Daniel Lee is that he doesn’t have an idea of the type of woman/man he is designing for. I didn’t like what Tomas Maier did for the most part prior to his departure but you saw that he had a clear idea of the type of man and woman he was designing for. Yes clothes didn’t even represented 4% of the sales at that time but I guess the vision was enough for the runway.
What I think is interesting about the majority of these clothes is how they can be versatile but I would never wear them with BV shoes or bags. But I find it funny that a lot of people try the total look stuff. You looks like a fashion victim wearing the whole look…
But in the IG era, are people into personal style anymore? Because it seems like a lot of people who wore Gucci by Michele and Balenciaga when it was hot have moved on to BV.
