Céline F/W 10.11 by Juergen Teller

I usually love Teller. But his work doesn't fit the Celine target group. Guess, that Leiboeitz would be a good choice for them. I'm sure that LVMH has some kind of contract with her (see the LV ads)

^I reaaaally wouldn't want to see her work for Céline

Well atleast they showed the face unlike Jacquelyn Jablonski's ad last season.

QUINTISSENTIAL Juergen....pure & simple!

I like the concept, but not especially the model, so I have mixed feelings about this campaign.

I understand that Celine is all about minimalism now, but do the ads have to be minimal too?

I can't believe Phoebe produced such a beautiful collection and the best way they found to present it is this. Leave that cheap ironic 'caught while dressing up in my luxurious Parisian apartment' snapshop mediocrity Juergen's stuck his work on for people that actually need it, like Marc Jacobs. I hate saying I'm disappointed but I actually am here!, these are the type of clothes a truly passionate photographer would be in heaven to shoot, mostly for their precision and texture.. I can think of so many photographers and models that would've taken this to the next level. Bah. Let's just pretend nothing happened..
I so agree. I just don't understand what drew them to Teller in the first place? So much could have, and can be, done with Philo's work for the house as far a campaign concept goes...and no, I'm not wishing for an overblown M&M Gucci-esque disaster...but for such interesting clothes, it's unfortunate to see such an uninteresting campaign.

Teller's aesthetic, in my opinion, works for Marc Jacobs. However, not for Celine. I mean, what possessed the Celine team to showcase such brilliant clothes in such a washed out, grungy manner? Baffling. Same goes for last season.

I image something like a David Sims a la Balenciaga Fall/Winter 2005 type of thing would have been great.
