Calvin Klein Collection S/S 2010 : Monika "Jac" Jagaciak by David Sims

As predicted, David got it! :bounce:
The image is really striking. You just can't take your eyes out of it.

Oh Gees! I'm loving this! :buzz:
She looks marbelized, like if she were part of a stone, though it seems like it is wood. I like the effect the background creates in a b&w shoot.

Also, is it weird I find her facial expression and body pose a little bit Frida Kahlo-ish? Like if she were a painting made by FK?

Woo! Amazing...

^that's a good observation. now that you say that i actually like her expression; very Frida Kahlo.

^ Yeah I agree with you two, she looks Frida Kahlo-ish! I like the ads, although I think some colors would've been nice.

I dislike the new shot. Something about her pose throws me off.
I agree, there is smth off about her pose, it looks uncomfortable, however I love the face shot. And this naked David guy looks not bad either :brows:
Anyway for me Calvin, as it's fairly been mentioned here, is more about creating the right mood rathen than throwing clothes they want to sell in your face . In my eyes it's much more effective. I can't wait to see other ads!

I warming up my feelings to the new pic and getting used to the pose. The shots with David are amazing, though!

Exactly my thought. On the first shot she seems to be ill-at-ease, it's quite strange.

I thought the shots would get better and they certainly are.
Although they really remind me of this....

Bravo to the brand for their astonishing imagery in the mens adsB)

Her pose in the first new shot looks very awkward. Loving the setting though.

Oh wow, how beautiful and sad at the same time. I'm loving the show of emotions in these shots.

The first shot is kinda weird
there's something about her facial expression which bothers me, but i can't really know what... she quite seems to be... suffering. The second shot is astounding though, her stare is petrifying.

Absolutely incredible campaign. So many right choices were made. I totally adore it.

Oh wow. i love the shot on the left in post #73. As stand alone image it has such strength.

The new shots are gorgeous. Really stunning. I'm really not the biggest fan of Jac, and I don't think she even looks that good in these ads, it's just that everything about these images is just so right, that it doesn't bother me that Jac is the face of the campaign.

The only thing setting apart this ads from perfection is color. All that magnicent earthy, organic color palette from the pieces is missing.
