Angelina's dress is terrible.. the draping is all wrong for her body...
All it's doing is emphasizing the difference in proportion between
her upper and lower body...
If she wanted to get the pregnancy rumors going, she sure picked the right dress...
and then the color and the slit- very trashy yet matronly...?

Her face looks nice though.. that's her saving grace...

I know most of you probably aren't into the Indian fashion, but I think that Sharmila Tagore (jury member) has been consistently well-dressed, and I love her white sari at the "Inglorious Basterds" premiere

She's looked lovely and elegant throughout - her white sari at the Inglorious Basterds premiere was beautiful. She also looked great at the opening photocall for the jury IMO

I really hope Carine Roitfeld wow us all today,as she really let me down yesterday at the wild grass premiere,,,I know is carine roitfeld and she can pull of anything, but im so tired of seeing balmain on her,,she could try something else..
besides that, she had already worn that outfit.. still adore her though.

Isabelle keeps looking so amazing in every appearance!, such an elegant woman.

Also loving Melanie's suit, I like that her style is not too daring or jaw-dropping but she does seem to like singing to her own tune and looking different, last year's mustard feathers and now trousers when everyone's trying to own the night with corny dresses.. I like her.

on negative notes, even though I've seen Joss Stone before, I still can't believe random people get to go to Cannes and choose to wear.. that.. she looks unbelievably cheap, not just for the dress but her hair, makeup, pose..

isabelle looks gloriously elegant yet appropriately whimsical.

but egads,it's a boring cannes overall. i thought it started out reasonably interesting with tilda,charlotte and kristin scott thomas but it's hit a major path of utter 'zzzzz'. it's not even hit and miss anymore just enormously blah.

here here, I was going to mention her in my post but feared the stones!. seriously, she just looks bad to me, I've never been a fan but I know she has her moments and this is unfortunately not one of them!, something about her entire look irradiates so much vulgarity, it's the attitude for me rather than the ugly lipstick, hair or tunic-thing she's wearing.. she could be promoting a p*rn film for all I know.

I understand that this is just a question of opinion and nobody is right or wrong but I really can't see where the p*rn thing comes from. I think Angelina, even when she dresses badly (which is often), always comes off expensive (at least in recent years).

This is Blake lively in the same dress a couple of weeks ago.

Also, I don't remember who asked but Angie isn't pregnant, she has had that pouch on her stomach ever since the twins.

Lastly, Isabelle Hupert makes me proud to be French.

^Totally agree with you about the comparison with Blake who, contrary to Angelina imo, does look trashy in this dress. I also agree with what you said about Isabelle

I actually liked Blake Lively in that dress.

I also don't mind that Carine is always in Balmain. The clothes look like they were made for her!

Zhang's dress is lovely but it should have been pulled up higher; she's flat chested and having it sit low doesn't help her cause.

^Well, one of the amfAR dinners does happen during Cannes festival, but there are others that take place in other cities such as Roma or NYC.

I thought this thread was made for photocalls/premieres/after-parties related to Cannes Film Festival only. But if i'm wrong then the mods should merge my thread with this one because that makes no sense to have the pics posted 100000 times
