HOW does the Cannes film fest work??? There is an opening ceremony where all there is red carpet and some speaches and the final prize is at the end of the festival like around the 24th??? or are there stars everyday on a red carpet for their film opening?

An opening ceremony, then a certain amount of movies showed everyday (=photocall for the actors+red carpet), and it ends by a closing ceremony.

By the by, has anyone been to Cannes? I was there last year (not during festival time) and it has such a feel of vintage sophistication to it. Its fantastic. And the red carpet is there alllllll year too!!!
