to be honest, i'm not a big fan of celebs doing modeling, i think they should stick to what they do (whatever that is, or whatever they are famous for.....)
i'd always prefer a model to a celeb, always!!

The reason why they choose celebs is because the celebs bring credibility, attention, hype, reputation to the firm, and this in turn creates profit! A lot of people don't know models and hence cannot 'bond' with them. I hope that makes sense!

There are loads of celebs who do this: Kate Bosworth for Revlon, A. Rai for Loreal and Longines, Britney and Christina for Skechers, Jessica Alba and Josh Duhamel for GAP, Diane Kruger for LV, Beckham for everything!Lot of celebs participate/feature in ads which have nothing to do with beauty and fashion. Pepsi have used quite a few of high profile names.

I havnt seen the Joss Stone ads for GAP but I loved the SJP ads! Why on earth did they replace her?
