Chanel Haute Couture F/W 1998.99 Paris

The Couture collections from FW1997 to FW2000 are probably some of the most underrated in Karl’s years at Chanel.

This collection is a masterpiece. A testament of a great designer, capable of challenge himself and challenge the perception people have of his work.
Chanel stripped of all the effects. The essence is there but the style of Karl shines.
There are accumulations of necklaces, gold chains belts at the waist, two tone shoes, below the knees length and the body is free but the style is totally Karl in it shapes, color palette and embellishments.

Somehow a lot of this makes me think about the Le Corbusier Couture collection from 2014.
The grey coat on Erin could have been part of Karl’s 2010’s collections.

Really fabulous!
