The problem with John is that a lot of people want him to recreate his past. They wants the outrageous John when I think at some point, we should want for those designers just to express themselves, maybe on a smaller scale, do their own thing. At the end of the day John’s a cautionary tale. It’s a pity that one of the greatest couturiers in history fumbled it but there’s nothing to be done about it. I don’t know if he’s still at the age that he can reconstitute his brand or handle another megabrand. I don’t know if he wants that, or is he content to just creating? The caliber of his talents though needs the sustenance of a full on atelier.
God...don´t tell me he is back into drugs...
Well be careful with what you wish for then. Everyone wants the ostentatious, unabashed, Dior extravaganza Galliano back and that was certainly part of what added to the creative environment.God...don´t tell me he is back into drugs...
I prefer his pre-Dior days (1993-96)...I´d love for him to be creative without drugs though (if that´s possible for him).Well be careful with what you wish for then.
