Newbie here...please help!!! (CHANEL SUNGLASSES)

I won a pair of "authentic" Chanel sunglasses on eBay. Is there any way I can authenticate the style? I'm really suspicious (I received them today).

The style number printed on the inside arm is "DK1077P Italy Design"

The sunglasses have "CHANEL" printe in white on the outside of both arms; also, there is a small "CC" (Chanel logo) above the nose in white.

Any information anyone could provide is greatly appreciated.

there is already a sunglasses thread, but a picture of what you received would help. you really have to be careful with those online auctions... alot of them are fakes. i don't recall "italy design" on any of my chanel sunglasses..

I wish I had better news for you but those are 100% fake. I have several pairs of Chanel sunglasses and none of them have "Italy design" written on them. If I were you I’d get my money back.

No, at this point. All designer sunglasses (except for maybe the pink ones and ones with crystals) are unisex, it allows manly men to wear them and not think "these are for chicks, dude"...

chanel sunglass case question

I have a pair of chanel sunglasses, and i recently noticed that the case broke. It seems to have gotten crushed or something. My glasses are fine, thank god, but i need a new case.

the only problem, i called the store, and they do not have extra cases (they were rather snappy about it). is there any way i could get a replacement case? does anyone know? they suggested i go to where i bought them (bloomingdales) but they probably wont have any extras either.

well you should ask at bloomingdales cause you never know. They might have extras that you can buy from them.
I'm not sure where else you can get them from. The only thing i can think of is going to ebay and buying one from there. (they will most likely be fake though)

I had a white YSL case that got durty in a matter of a year. These were reading glases that I bought in Italy. I went to a shope in Greece and asked them if they could sell me a new one - they found the same one and gave it for free, no matter I didn't buy anything from them. I think Chanel sould replace the case for free!!!!!! I sent a Chanel bag to Chanel Paris and they will fix it for free, it's going to take them 3 months, but that's ok!

Considering Chanel sunglasses are so overpriced the least they could do is provide a free case.

A few of my Chanel cases have also been smushed. I don't think that it has to do with the quality but more with the fact that they've suffered a lot of abuse from me.

I suppose you can just buy another hard case that is not Chanel.

It is doubtful that the stores will sell you a new Chanel case because each pair of sunglasses comes with a case. If they sell you one then they'd be missing a case.

If you really want the Chanel case I suppose you can contact their headquaters and tell them what happened. There maybe an address or contact number on the little booklet that they give with the sunglasses.

Also, people might use the authentic case to sell fake glasses on ebay.
As you all know, if the details on the case seems off, that is one way to spot a fake, so it's completely understandable that they wont give them away.
You can always get a non-Chanel case for them, to keep them from being broken. Why does the case have to be Chanel? If you have another pair of Chanel sunglasses, you can store the ones you don't wear in the plain case and use the Chanel case for the pair you do wear?
