Charlize Theron's Beauty Secrets

BEAUTY MUST-HAVES
There's something adventurous about Dior's J'adore perfume. It reminds me of travelling. I really like Cetaphil—it's a good face wash. And cherry Chapstick. I love Kiehl's Tea Tree Oil Shampoo—it moisturises my hair, which becomes dry after I colour it.

BEAUTY RITUAL
I wash my face before I go to sleep and I use moisturiser regularly.

GOING WILD
I've become more experimental with my make-up. I even wore fuchsia lips to a screening recently. I've never done anything like that before.

FAVOURITE DESIGNER
Stella McCartney. It's all animal-friendly. I'm always carrying something made by Stella.

BEAUTY ESSENTIAL
Sunblock; my mother never left the house without it. I've been diligent about using it for most of my life.

BEAUTY TIPS
Cut back on styling tools: When I'm not working. I don't use a blow dryer, so you'll see me running around with wet hair. If I give my hair a break from heat, it does really well.

Embrace spray-on make-up: It's really, really light. I don't like foundation that is cakey or heavy. You can see [the foundation on top of your skin.

Be nice to your eyes: If I don't get all my mascara off, I put a little bit of eye cream around my eyes, then gently wipe with a Q-tip. Rubbing with make-up remover is too harsh.

Get the glow: I use loose luminescent powder instead of a compact.
