Charlotte Casiraghi

I always thought that that was the best kept secret behind the "French women don't get fat" idea. A lot of them smoke, and they'll readily confess it keeps them from eating...It's a sad sight really, winter darkness at 7:45 AM, students outside the university waiting for their first class, you can't see anything except for a myriad "little points of light"... It's eerie. For a two-hour class, they start getting fidgety after an hour, they need their smoke...

Smoking can be an appetite suppressant, it really depends on the person and how much you smoke but yes it can suppress your appetite. But I'll tell you, when you get cancer then you'll have no choice but to be skinny so, it's a horrible fate.

No we were talking about the pink dress that she wore to the Serpentine Gallery in London.

I know smoking is a lot more common in Europe so I will give her that, but there are a lot more healthier vices out there to have. Smoking is very deadly and unfortunately I have lost two family members early because of it, so I guess I'm just a little sensitive when it comes to it. I'm glad Charlotte doesn't smoke all the time but she should really try to quit. She's such a pretty girl too, it would be a shame for her to look 10 years older all the time because of it. I would always wonder why these stars looked so skinny but I find out that they smoke (Jennifer Aniston, Katherine Heigl, Charlotte) So is there any hope for us girls to look good the healthy way? I'm starting to wonder...

I think the answer is for people to stop looking at "celebs" and "people like Charlotte" (whatever she is, not really a "celeb" right?) for an example, and start looking within. Too many people look outward for the answer, when they already have the answer inside themselves. Charlotte lives her own life and her smoking hurts only herself. Within, within, that's the ticket (to being thin.... and everything else). And yes there are lots of ways to be healthy and thin! :)

Does Charlotte drive ? I know she has her driver's license, but I don't seem to ever see pictures of her driving.

We haven't seen her drive in a long time. It's actually been several years. Even after she had a license (summer 2004) and her own car, while she was going to school in Paris (from late 2004, through 2005-2007) she tended to use the public transport or walk, or let someone else drive, so maybe she doesn't like it. And if people drive in Paris like they drive in Los Angeles, I perfectly feel her pain! I never drive in this town, and personally think people who do are suicidal or something......

I would think she has a driver if she wants one...I always wondered if she had bodyguards but someone said she only uses them discreetly depending on where she goes.
