This is one of my favorites. It's from summer 2007 during Alice's birthday weekend on Ibiza.

And the long-term partnership between Gucci and the Princess Caroline of Monaco's second daughter seems like a winner: Charlotte will participate in the Global Champions tour for 2010 and 2011, and while competing she will be wearing a sophisticated and technically-advanced equestrian wardrobe designed exclusively for her by the label's creative director, Frida Giannini. "I share Charlotte's passion for the sport," says Giannini. "There's an immediate understanding between the two of us." Like the Gucci brand, Princess Charlotte represents tradition and modernity, much like her grandmother Grace, who was also a muse for the brand.

There are some pics of Charlotte riding in Chantilly here. Her results have been OK so far. With Tintero, not bad. With Troy, she has been eliminated twice.

On friday, she and Tintero got good speed but had 12 fault points because of a jump refusal, two knocked obstacles, and several 'touches', and there speed was slow so they were Ranked 16.

But Saturday Tintero and Char were much better, had 0 faults, ranked 7, and got 240 euros of the Volkswagen prize money. She and Troy had their 2nd elimination. I watched it on GCT live stream and it was ugly. I felt so horribly for Troy. I'm so worried about him.

Still one more day of competitions to go........

One more thing: I really don't want to be one of those people who 'promotes' themselves obnoxiously so I'm only going to mention it once, because I figure there will be some who are interested. I have published a book called The Charlotte Casiraghi Fan Club: Interviews and Essay. I won't link you to it because I doubt that is allowed, but you don't have to work too hard to find it on Amazon, that is if you are so inclined.

It does suck about the sprain, but she did get to chill the rest of the day and console herself with some retail therapy. On Zimbio, in pic 9 of 15, possibly Valentine Pozzo di Borgo, what do you think? Valentine was certainly in Chantilly for competition on Friday. Anyway, I know, the Gucci is awesome, everything. The polo is so cute. I just noticed something: Charlotte put her watch on the left wrist due to the bandage. At first, I thought that is strange, she always wears it on the right, but then it hit stupid, the bandage!
