It's official! The BEST dressed people of 2015 are
The International Best Dressed List is finally here. And we can now all breathe a sigh of relief because we are officially authorised/allowed to call Taylor Swift the best dressed women of 2015, alongwith fellow performer Rihanna, Emma Stone, Misty Copeland among others who made it to the 2015 International Best Dressed List (IBDL).
For starters IBDL is no ordinary listing of 'who wore best.' It is much more than that. It's a legacy that was established in 1940 by Eleanor Lambert - the woman who was once credited as "a factor in the GDP of the U.S., and even of the world" for her influence in the fashion industry. IBDL was first published as an attempt to boost the reputation of American fashion at the time. Today the list is not confined to American boundary but goes beyond that touching various international boundaries - China, France, Russia and Australia. The list is published annually by the American magazine Vanity Fair.
Vanity Fair editors compile the annual list, which for the first time featured a separate Hollywood segment for the movie world's best-dressed stars.
IBDL boasts of the finest dressers of the year. It is curated by Vanity Fair editors who analyses every single looks that made a strong case for the influence of fashion in the popular culture, not to mention the enormous influence it had on the fashion industry itself. But the best thing about the IBDL is it features not only socialites and musical and Hollywood celebrities but includes journalist, entrepreneurs, sportsperson, politician, World War heros and royal family. This year the list is divided into six different categories - women, men, professionals, couples, originals and hollywood, which boasts of popular names like Amal Clooney, Charlize Theron, teen idols Emma Watson and Taylor Swift and royal faces of HRH Prince Harry and HM Queen Letizia of Spain.
