Chloe S/S 06 Paris

some pieces are nice, but in general I don't really like it

Is this really by Phobe, or just the design team again? less frilly, feminine thing than usual. Does she actually wished she can wear one of "her" designs and make those maternity dresses?(Oh, just kidding:p)

I have never like Chloe :ninja: ...the only thing that appealed to me in this collection were these two:

thank you so much for keeping this thread on the topic of chloe.

i like this so far...i like the colors and layering, the lace...i could do without the shoes, but then again i could do without many shoes...i'm so picky.

i like the tie outfit on carmen cass..i love it with the skirt!

and i really, really love the burnt-orange colored coat in post #26 a lot!
I completely agree. The coat looks a totally different color in style's image, but I was jumping up and down with excitement. This is what I want my winter coat to look like

Imo it's a very good collection, considering I'm a sucker for 60's it's very very good. I'm glad Philo headed this direction. It's something different from complete rehashes from previous collections and it still fits Chloé.

The shapes might be new to Chloe, but Miuccia and numerous other designers had done it years ago. I don't see anything 'new' here.
Besides, please look at the zipper bags...ugh, you can find the exact same design in NY or SF MOMA and the design has been around for years. She just made the bags in leather. Where is the creativity?!
It's one of the worst shows in Paris.

Well it's definately not one of my favorite collections for Chloé, there are some looks that I like but overall I'm kind of disappointed. Chloé is always among my most anticipated collections and this isn't what I expected...

perlefine that coat is absolutely perfect! thank you so much for posting a full-on shot of it. the buckle at the top! i actually love the mustard color!:buzz:

i'm also super digging the wedges and the handbags...i love the black wedges with the white lace and ankle ties posted...they're amazing.

i asked kindly to keep this thread on the topic of the CHLOE COLLECTION so please PLEASE direct your discussion of wintour/peta to the thread in the fashion daily dedicated to that. i will edit your posts if not. thank you so much!

YES! And the covered buttons :woot: Not too large, not too small. One medium mustard please. I'd really love a pair of such black shoes with white crochet as normal shoes or flats to prevent falling flat on my face or people asking me where I buy my parquet.

thank you .francesca

on the collection, i think it's very nice. i like the shapes and layering a lot, actually i think this influenced by consuelo castiglioni's style a bit?

Ok people

I saw the whole collection, and I'm sticking with my opinion.
I absolutely hate it.
Very very dissapointing.
I loved some of the shoes, but the bags...naaahhh...as somebody said in the post you can find that kind of bag in a smaller and cheaper store.

i think it's more directly influenced by the phenomenal success of pilati's ysl at retail...
everyone seems to be trying to copy his formula...
because it is FLYING out of the stores...

this started off pretty badly imo... there are some good pieces in there...
but the best ones are the ones that remind me of ysl...:ermm:...
hmmm....
*and what about the shoes-lanvin much?!?...

though i LOVE the crochet socks/peds that criss cross...
...GREAT STYLING there!!...

Diggin' the platform shoes - have a pair very similar to them in green.

I can see why people don't like it as much... I think the collection is obviously following the trend of vintage inspired clothing. I don't really mind it I thought some of the 70s inspired dresses are beautiful!! And as always I am amazed at how much detail the clothes have... If I had to pick something I really like about this collection it would have to be the shoes. Those platforms with the cream (sigh).

Im not liking these bags so far..the ones with the zips looks awful imo. I also think the wooden chunky wedges/ heels has been done before by Chloe not so long ago.

very 60's isnt it......
the baby doll dresses....the big buttons....even the pattern on the lace looks like it has that 'hippie' vibe...
the pinafores and the solid colors....that mustard orange and the bold purples....

i love the long white dress.....so simple but i would love that for summer....

some interesting pieces....its 'cute'....
i like the theme....and it all looks well made to me.....
but i dont really like the pieces, as i look at most of them one by one.....

nothing to hate...imo....but not really my taste.....:ermm:

Funny that you mentionned styling softgrey... I always get the feeling that Philo's Chloe is more about great styling rather than great design.

And it reminded me too of Lanvin... a few of the pieces (some even in colour) and especially the shoes....

I can't say I'm impressed by this collection...
