I have posted something related to this on the other Yohji S/S 06 thread but I guess I can start a new thread just for this. And I don't know if anyone has posted this already...if so please merge.

Yohji has collaborated with LeBook for a 3 volumes box set publication(I am not sure if LeBook is showcasing all his works in this box set or just using his art works throughout the publication...anyone fimiliar with LeBook?) Anyway there are some of his art works/illustrations showing in the LeBook website. They are very nice ink drawings....so fluent and simple. Just like his designs.

Here are some of his drawings in the website.

But I am still confused. Is LeBook just a resource publication on all the creative agencies out there....or it's actually showcasing the designer's work? They have couple other publications with Hermes too.

lebook is THE directory of artists/services for the fashion/advertising industry...there are 2 books...
one for talent and agencies...photogs, stylists, etc...
and the other for production services
it is published annually...

i am listed in lebook...^_^...

i can never completely understand how to navigate the website though...
...

i believe you can have your portfolio posted on their website if you don't have one of your own
(for a fee...)

i thought i posted this earlier...
but i can't find it, so maybe the post never went through...

thanks for the thread buckwheat...
very nice illustrations....
seems an odd collaboration, but i'm not complaining...
:flower:...

i just read the above...
i think the illustrations open each category...

3 volumes?...
it's always been 2...
hmmm...wonder what's in the third volume?...
maybe film/movie production resources?...
maybe showroom/designer info?...

now i am curious...

Thank you for your input Softie. In this case I don't think I am getting the box set if they are just directories. Or maybe I am just getting it to guess who you are on the list Softie

and according to the website,

Vol. 1 is photo/illustration
Vol.2 is production
Vol. 3 is art direction

it's a long long list buckwheat......
;)

thanks for the info ont he volumes...
illustration has really grown in the last several years i think...
first it wasn't there at all and then it used to be just a few pages...

i think LOTS of new people have been trying to get in the game...
it's a bit too much...
i get calls regularly from people who want to assist who have obviously gotten my name out of le book and are just going down the list...
^_^...
