it's so weird, above she was wearing that exactly same outfit and I didn't like it at all
and now I see this pic and I love it:blink:

I know some of us on here have not been loving her lastest outfits but I love how she wears what ever she wants without caring what others might thinkB)Damn, she is just too cool!

On that note, I can not wait to see Mr. Nice.

I don't actually dislike recent outfits. Just like with others, I mostly just don't feel that enthusiastic about the slicked back hair, but I like that she wears what she wants and doesn't cater to what she thinks most people would like, which unfortunately would involve looking a little boring.

Yeah, I'm just glad that she isn't boring. I disagree with the person who said that she had gotten generic over the years. She probably has the most consistent style a person can have.

Maybe its those awful posing she is doing in some of the pictures that don't look good. Anyways, when she had long hair she kept it simple. Either in a nice bun or down straight. With short hair, I really don't like it slicked back.

She has hits and misses, but that's because she just does what she likes - like a real style icon.

I couldn't have said it better myself. :flower:

I'm not sure that I hate the slicked-back look, it's just that the way it darkens the color of her hair makes it kinda of a harsh look overall. If the blonde was more apparently blonde, I'd probably like it better.

On the other hand, I like that she's making the most of her new crop and tries different things, even if it may not be to everyone's liking. Reading her more recent interviews, I've gotten the impression that she's trying to change things up style-wise and taking new factors into consideration, and that's pretty neat just by itself, whether or not the result is a success every time. At least she doesn't just slap on whatever a stylist instructs her to.

Ah, this just reminds me of the opening paragraph in her article in the March '08 issue of UK Elle which I just have to post here:

The problem with being a style icon, part one: your look gets ripped off. 'A few years ago I started wearing these white Ray-Ban Wayfarers that my mother found at a flea market in Connecticut,' says Chloë Sevigny. 'I loved them and wore them every day. But I was constantly made fun of by all the tabloids, attacked over and over again. It got to the point where my publicist and my agent had this conference call with me -- yes, a conference call -- and said, "Chloë, we know you really like those sunglasses but people are taking the piss out of you so much that we have to advise you to stop wearing them." I was, like, OK fine, I'm sick of them anyway. But then the next summer those white Ray-Bans were everywhere! You could not escape them. Mary-Kate Olsen wore them and it was, like, "Mary-Kate starts a new trend." I never got any credit! I'm so off the radar!' She bursts into laughter -- and what a magnificent laugh she has, kind of like an asthmatic donkey. She takes a sip of green tea and reconsiders. 'Well, I think I am on the radar for style-setters. And then it trickles down from what they do.'

I cant believe people don't like the slicked back hair!!! So sexy....she reminds me of one of Robert Palmers back up dancers!

I kind of like the slicked back hair too.
Ok, it doesn't look great, but it's so refreshing and kind of cool in a weird way. I like that she does what she wants.

She looks amazing in the Lanvin dress. She is a big fan of Alber Elbaz. I wonder why she hasn't worn much of his designs recently? The McQueen dress is a nice surprise, too.
