^^^ I disagree, though, and I just really have to/want to comment this briefly. I've read the full interview from which her Big Love comments have been excerpted, and not only does she make a fair point, everything she says is said in a general good humor (something that's been largely ignored by and in the press) at the same time as none of her criticism is directed at anyone specific (except maybe HBO, but only for the limited number of episodes the show got this season). If what she said was at all unprofessional, it was only so in the sense that, coming from one of the main stars of the show, a genuinely critical view isn't something the HBO would want her to express. They have a show to sell, after all. But I don't think she should be shunned for being honest (even if she has retracted her statement by now -- though, personally, I have to say her apology just reeks of HBO). And why drag recession into this? Sure, her spot on the show is a privileged one and it makes her a good deal more $$$ than many of us "ordinary" people earn in half a lifetime, but she isn't complaining about her paycheck or for the show being somehow unworthy of her, she only expressed concern regarding the quality and future of the show. Relating this to recession is the same as pulling the Haiti tragedy into that quip Chloë made about her Golden Globe dress rip onstage.
Aaanyway... I have to say I'm really positively surprised by Chloë's UK Elle feature. I wasn't very impressed with the cover tbh, but I feel the inside feature is pretty complete, if not hugely exciting. Was very glad to see so many pictures inside -- imo UK Elle has been lacking in this respect lately -- and aside from Chloë looking pretty darn gorgeous, the article isn't half-bad either, even though it also contains a lot of recycled details on her that I just skim past nowadays.
