do you want it to be a handbag only or something that can go on the shoulder

I would not get the dr then...I am sure you can squeeze it on the shoulder but the bag is wide at the bottom so it might look bulky...

Chloe..I honestly think that the classic Silverado shape is much desirable than the Silverado doctor's range. So nay for me for both bags.

gucci.. if I were you, I would keep the dark python silverado. the colour just reminds me of something a fashion editor would carry..discreet yet classy. It would go with a lot of things, yet is not black which I think distracts from the markings of the python skin.
But at the end of the day, you have to love the bag!

guccigal....your sylvie is gorgeous! The brown is so rich! I love it! PrincessImp is so right when she desribed the bag as "...discreet yet classy...". Of all the bags you are considering, perhaps you should keep the sylvie and the leopard Muse. While the sylvie may currently be considered a lesser "it" than the Muse, Fendi B-bag etc, (reason could be because it is entering the realm of the classics...) the bag would be a great addition to your collection and to be loved for a long, long time, if not forever. Especially in that yummy brown. Oh, btw, the scratches you are concerned with are quite inherent in the leather. My Silver/Brown sylvie has worse scratches which are more obvious.

Chloe...Between your 2 choices, I like the Doctor bag. Although it may be bulky and impractical due to its wider base which may be quite uncomfortable on the shoulder. Perhaps, the leather will soften with age and the base will sit "flatter" on the shoulder?!?!? If its in the same buffalo leather which the Autumn-Winter '05-06 Python Silver/Brown was made with, the leather will soften fast!

I talked to a few Chloe experts on tfs.com and they said they don't know...too many red flags....don't do it.

she emailed me a letter the manager of Chloe London supposively wrote saying that Chloe bags don't have tags with numbers in the pocket. Which is weird...I have sold alot of paddingtons on ebay all had tabs...my natural silverado I had...had a leather tab....AND my chocolate python silverado from nordstroms had a leather tab with number on them...

....there are too many red flags. The lady seems nice and all. I have been talking to her asking questions...then she suddenly told me not to ask her anymore questions...

plus she will only refund if the manager of the chloe boutique writes on letter head that its fake...yeah...like Chloe would do that.

Where is the leather tab? I just want to see if mine has it. There have been some weird inconsistences like the chloe stamp (mine has it, but I've seen authentic ones w/o), and the little tassle things at the bottom of the bags.

in the inside zipper of the bag. dig deep in the pocket. its a little leather tab.

I am just going by what people tell me....and the seemed forged note from Chloe she sent me.

I'm very uneasy on this one as well. It's possible that the seller IS very nice and doesn't know it's not authentic, but a few things make me pause. First, it's been debated, but most of the original campaign bags didn't have the Chloe stamp on the front flap - the bags since then do, but not the original. But mainly, I have issues with the scales. Just last season, Chloe introduced a different type of finish on the python (like the bag guccigal just purchased) - some of these more recent bags have a tougher, more sturdy finish on the scales. But the original campaign bag did not - the scales were very soft and the bigger ones would be majorly curling by now. Also, every one of my pythons has a more random mix of large and small scales - this one is so consistent that it doesn't appear real to me at all.

and...the original ad camp bag was cognac and she said this is very dark chocolate.....just the pics didn't turn out right.

I asked her to take a closer pic up of the tag...and she said just see the one posted but you can't see anything and she said I have asked enough. haha

guess - you have the same batch with mines so yours should have the leather tab inside the zipper pocket.

I guess that would explain it! I didn't look at all of the pictures. The python skin looked very real in the pictures I looked at and that seems to be the easiest way to tell if it's real.
