I was in Nordstroms yesterday and the SAs seemed a bit confused about the silverado sizes. One said that the former medium is now (F/W 05) designated small and the former large is now designated medium (with an even "larger" large...). Any info on this?

hmmm...i haven't heard of that yet...when i called the boutique this morning, i referred to them as med and large and they didn't correct me on the sizes...(imo)it seems that the dept stores seem to be less educated on designer bags as opposed to the direct boutiques.

i'm in hawaii, so we don't really have a difference in seasons, so just wondering if grey is normally worn all year?
personally, i would have like the lighter grey like on the paddington from their webpage, but they aren't making that color

I'm just guessing, but now they're probably calling the medium "small", the large "medium" and the doctor's bag or 70's Silverado the large.
I ordered the bronze and it just arrived and it is damaged. All the skins on the edges are black in places and the skins are missing in places. It arrived with no dust bag and it came from Neiman's online. I will be returning it. What a disappointment. If anyone is looking for silver python there is one on Bergdorfgoodman.com

I got mine from Nordstrom. I called the store but they didn't have it. I asked the SA to find it for me, and she called me back within fifteen minutes to say that she had located it in Seattle. It arrived in perfect condition. So maybe try Nordstrom.
You have to be so careful with NM online. They sent me a craie paddington with a black mark on it.

Btw, Rachel Zoe, stylist to Nicole Richie has the bag too. There are some pics of her with the bag i.e. Star Styles and somewhere in this thread, I think. Also Ms Richie herself was with the bag in the photo spread of her by Kaiser Lagerfeld for a German fashion mag.
The Bronze is beautiful especially the rich, yummilicious chocolate colour of the leather portion....
So sorry to hear about your Bronze. How awful of them to treat your purchase with such callousness.
Without a dustbag...tsk tsk tsk More disappointing when it cost that much. I hope they'll be able to replace it with an excellent one, if you still want one that is... 
If not, the Silver is a very good choice too.... Nordstrom in King of Prussia, PA had several Silverados when I called last week to order my medium leather cognac - which arrived today in PRISTINE, brand new condition. Ask for Judy - she was wonderful. Checked the bag over for me thoroughly (as I read through my list of instructions of what to look for in terms of potential damage...). They had Python bags available as well as leather.

That is so unacceptable - you should call NM online and tell them to be sure to refund your shipping costs as well since the bag was in such bad shape it never should have been sent to you. I agree with the suggestion that you should try to find the bag at Nordstroms. I've purchased a number of bags over the phone and have not had any problems with quality.

socal - Is this one you're talking about? The colour is quite nice and yes it's can be an all year round colour but I would prefer it in the original shape. This one is a little bit too amall for me.
