Christian Dior Haute Couture S/S 2025 Paris

Our Mary Grace has became avant-garde!! And what´s avant-garde for her??? Resembling a hanging lamp (embroidered by Lesage, of course)...

Back in January 1997, when Galliano debuted at Dior, YSL said his debut collection was "an insult to Monsieur Dior".
Would love to see Yves face seeing this!!

I want to be nice, because I know a lot of people from all over the world put great work in as far as craftsmanship goes, but this is a pretty "bare bones" collection in design and intellect. I did see hints of the early Valentino stint with PPP, and also some hints of Galliano's last couple years at the house in the middle. Very dark, slightly depressing, yet cloying overall. I'm sure it'll still sell just fine.

The first few looks were fine, tho!

I'm seeing a lot of Sarah Burton for McQueen. Embarrassing, whatever it is.

Yes! This collection is so Sarah Burton it’s ridiculous. Some of these looks are like for like I am shocked.

That and people on socials are saying Simone Rocha and now I can’t unsee it.

That pink piece that Kim showed for his menswear a few days ago made for more believable “Dior couture” than whatever the eff this is. How do you say “this is sh*t” en francais?

I just watched the whole collection on my brand new 60 inch TV HD baby!
First up the art on the wall is absolutely stunning and Rich I really want to understand the process of her collections because all of that art on the wall all those beautiful colors were not represented in the clothing. Not one color ! From that beautiful artwork is represented in the clothing that's very strange or maybe extremely commercial.
She's a commercial couturier!
Those little suits in the jackets were absolutely beautiful again no color basic Black.

The lace work is impeccable the beading is beautiful and light not heavy perfect for spring no color.
The last dresses that I guess represent Marie Antoinette in some sense are nice but I just want to take a pair of scissors and cut all those little strings off.
The shoes as always are horrendous.

These are the best looks. The beaded Fringe on the black skin was absolutely beautiful.
I think she has a lot of talent and maybe it's time for her to move on all right Gucci is a big no no! Fendi I can see that.

Not even that anymore...they stopped sourcing embroiderying activities in France from almost a decade now.
Everything is embroidered in India (Chanakya school of craft) by underpaid barely legal teenagers.
And Lesage has been bought by Chanel in 2002 I think. Not sure they can supply Chanel's competitors in priority.

Whats the point of doing these big skirts but not making one wearable version of it?

And brandon I share your view. All beautiful colours on the wall but such basic palette on the clothes.

I honestly don't get it. I want to see one of those big dresses fully complete and not with all those fringes everywhere I just want to take scissors and go crazy 🤣. And no color, I honestly don't think it's her I think it's the bosses they want the numbers I think this is the biggest selling couture house correct me if I'm wrong these are easy going pieces at a staggering cost. She's raking in it.
