Christian Louboutin Clichy pump

i agree... but there's something about the 4" version that i do like...they look more cutesy, whereas the 5" version has something more edgy and sexual about it.

Wow...I'm not sure my little feet would even reach the ground in 5-inch heels. I'd be on my toes! (Memories of childhood pointe classes, anybody?)

That, and the fact that I fall over in 3-inch wedges (very clumsy), mean that I'd probably go for the 4-inch ones, and then spend days learning how to walk in them! I have some gorgeous 3 3/4 inch Manolos, and I even have trouble with those!

But the Louboutins ARE mouth-watering. They'd make a delightful addition to my "girls" -- my slowly growing designer collection!

Whilst in Miami on Saturday I saw a very similar copy to the Clichy in Taha shoes for around $100. The heel was not set back quite as much, and was only 4", but they had an almost identical toe, and came in the same colours and patent finish. They appeared to be well made with a leather sole (not red of course!). I think the brand was Savvy.

Has anyone come across these elsewhere?

So has anyone been in the NYC Louboutin lately? Do they still have clichy pumps? I LOVE the white/blue striped that someone posted.

Louboutin NYC has the 126mm/5'' striped pump. Jeffrey NYC has the same height in the pastels....

IMO: Dont wimp out on the 4'' heel...take it to the max. B)

A perfect reason (see photo) of why the higher heels works.

can't see anything special about them...

They're soo simple which is what makes them so gorgeous. The shape is absolutely heaven and that heel is...fantastic.

I know it looks easy/common but it's easy to be overly ornate and pretty (Versace anyone?) but hard to be very simple and pretty.

The heel should be placed _under_ the heel of the foot, not at the back of the shoe, now the design and proportions look all off. Looks like the whole shoe is toppling forward. It's design for the sake of design, not for the sake of looking good. I would imagine these shoes to be more difficult to walk in than normal 5" heels...

I agree- thats why i prefer manolos and choo's they are both consistently balanced architecturally.- and it also feels much more secure when the heel is directly under the ball of your foot, because it distributes your body weight more evenly

I'd definitley rock the 5" Chichys, but I like to drink, and I'd be sure to fall on my face, after getting a little tipsy. Its one thing to walk in 5" with some of that being platform, but for a flat sole to go that high up, it would be HELL to walk in, you would have to sit down all night.

Well, watch the J-Lo runway show, Jennifer Lopez walked up the red carpet AND down the runway in the white 5" Clichys. :p

I find 5" heels easy to walk in. ;)

It's not that, it's just more resistance and tolerance to heights

I've walked in 5'' before, at first it's a b*tch, but then it just becomes something normal, after that, I feel like im wearing kitten heels when I wear anything lower :ninja:

Maybe if I have botox injected into my feet!:ninja:

After a night out in heels i am seriously cravling home, and its not mainly because i drunk..

one day i'll learn.:innocent:

^ Like Ale...had trouble with high high heels, but now its something normal...I even wear them to school which means lots of walking on hard surfaces and lotsa stares :ninja:

I'm dying for the green clichys with a bow on them
