Thought so :( especially considering they use pics that are blatantly off of eBay, Bergdorf and Saks

Any doubt?

Serious question for you girls: How do you explain it to your partners when you've splurged on a pair of Louboutins? :ninja:

I'm planning on getting my first pair this summer when I'm in London with my guy (since we don't have Louboutins anywhere in Switzerland  ) but I know my guy will have zero tolerance for this. He's really not into fashion and finds brands like Tommy Hilfiger horribly overpriced, so he won't understand.

New Shoes!

I just got these beautiful Very Prives last week. They didn't have my size here in Seattle, so I had to get them from NM in Dallas via NJ - who cares? I love them! These are my pics to share with my friends here at TFS. Enjoy

I compare it to purchasing art, or shame him by pointing out how much he spends on computers/gadgets/cars :P

I never have to explain it to my partner fortunately, but when I have to justify it to myself (haha) I just remind myself that the classic styles are investments and will pay for themselves. They are better made, will last a lifetime with good care and, failing that, when he sees you wearing them, he'll understand

Thanks a lot for the advice! I usually have to justify it to myself first, too. But I feel like when you know a lot about fashion and are passionate about it, 600$ for a pair of high heels doesn't seem as crazy anymore. Besides, I've been saving up for a while because I really want some Louboutins (all other high heels look so cheap compared to them!). And you're right, I'm sure my guy will love them once he sees me wearing them

I will tell him, am supporting and helping the French economy, the French company and the people who made the shoes. :P

Seattle Girl: gorgeous and classic Very Prives

Seattle Girl - The VP's are a great wardrobe sample! They are one of my fave styles.

Psylocke - is there any way you could buy the shoes when he is not around? My boyfriend understands my shopping addiction and knows that what I am buying will last me for years versus a cheap pair of shoes that won't last nearly as long. It's also my money and I will spend it how I want! I have also told the SA's not to mention the price of the total, but sometimes when you are buying high end stuff, they don't even tell you the price and just take your CC.

Good luck!

Haha, thanks. I guess I just lack the confidence to not care about what other people think. I was this close to buying a pair of Alexander McQuuen ballet flats once that I had been dying to get my hands on but ducked out because my boyfriend thought they weren't that nice and ridiculously overpriced at 250£ :innocent: Luckily I don't regret it because I found out later ballet flats look crap on my wide feet
I don't think it'll be possible for me to buy them when he's not around. I can't leave him alone in London because he would get lost! BUT I could still just try them on when I'm there and buy them online later (would possibly be cheaper as well). I'm such an idiot for making such a problem out of this instead of just looking forward to buying amazing shoes that I well deserve after years of living on a budget and not making any major purchases

whoa! The Clou Noued for fall. :shock:B) Very curious what TFSer will covet these. Me likey the Relika.
Can't post the pics  (they specifically told me 'no no'), but :ninja: I can forward the em from the boutique if you can't find the pics online. I also have Saks newest em.

Vickycookie - they're my least comfortable Louboutins but one of my favourite pairs regardless. I'll normally end up with pains in the balls of my feet, but some people don't have any problems at all. It's worth going into a boutique and trying them on.
