omg thats sooo horrible if thats the case... and people are doing horrible things as such..
beduina, I think the Declics are fake. You should take them to the Motcomb store to authenticate. I know there have been instances where people bought real shoes at department stores and then returned fakes, and the stores sold the fakes without knowing.
I am 99% sure that the Declic was not made in nude patent. Also, the heel is the wrong shape and height and the color looks wrong. I asked an SA at a CL boutique and she said she has never seen the Declic in nude patent. I could be wrong, of course, but something about them just bothers me.The heel tap is like that cos i've wearing them a LOT! (when i mean a lot ,i mean, a lot e.g. walking around London for about 5 hours, clubbing aswell) bought them about 3 months ago, i wouldn't expect them to still be perfect...what'exactly caught your attention that makes you think are fake?
The Declic was made in 120mm and 140mm heights, and this season they just came out with the 90mm (or 100, can't remember).if you bought them at harvey nichs they should be fine. the CL store is a concession so they know their stuff. as for the colour, they do look slightly darker than the famous nude patent CL does but that is possibly just the lighting.
and stores do order the colour/fabric/leatherway they want for their store so it is also possible that they are the only ones who have this one
the only thing here i would doublecheck is the heel height. was the declic made with a lower heel?
Is there a label on the box? How high is the heel, and what size are they?
Hm, good to know. I was pretty confused b/c they did look really good if they were fakes, I just never knew they came in nude patent! Sorry for the scare! I know people who have unknowingly purchased fakes from Neiman Marcus, so I guess I am a little paranoid.the london CL boutiques definitely got the declic in nude patent as well as black patent. not for the u.s. market, but yes for u.k. different geographic regions do get different, exclusive versions of his shoes.
for some reason the heel tap on that nude patent declic pictured in post http://forums.thefashionspot.com/showpost.php?p=5954795&postcount=692
does look somewhat worn-out - could it be a display shoe? but otherwise the shoe looks fine to me.
Thanks very much, I will definitely get in nude as I've been after a pair of nude CLs for ages, it just hasn't 'clicked' until now which style to get. I've got so many Prive-styles now (hypers in black, So Privates etc) it will be nice to have something different.laureenthemean: thanks for your concern, it's ok, as rosalynn said is good that members are keeping an eye on things like this.
Rosalynn: i remember seeing the declics in black patent as well (and black leather of course) definitely get them if you can.
