Christopher Kane S/S 10 London

I like this collection and the fact that he made that he want. He knows the people is very dissaponteid or surprised for this collection, cause is so different at the others.
I like a lot, the silouttes adn the soft frabric, its a Kane Girl.

The way the plaid is used is very fresh, considering the current popularity of it. With that being said, I find no depth in this. It's interesting and cute but the lack of heart is just so apparent here. One would definitely get sick of these pieces after a while. A lack of timelessness, I suppose.

the suits are a bit of a strange addition to the collection

overall i quite like it. it is quite on trend with all the softer colors and the 90s minimalism is definitely coming back so his simpler approach to this collection is good.

the fact that he dared to challenge all these check patterned fabric is quite...yea...he seems to love difficult fabrics.

Just tired of all the metal, chains, studs.
same here.
i really like this. i see some coherence in his work, even if each collection has a very different theme, there's something about the shapes and the choice of colours/prints, that always feels very kane, especially since S/S 2008 (although i loved S/S 07 and F/W 07 too - but i can't imagine him developing that style very much). i love the shapes in this collection, i'm actually drooling over some of the dresses. i think kane esquates(?) delicate, sexy and quirky quite well.

Pastel gingham? Really?

I think it would take quite a subversive mind for it to really work, and unfortunately I don't think Kane is that twisted. It's a shame, because I actually really like some of the shapes.

i love it! And i have to say, i'm very suprisied that I do, because his video p*ssed the hell out of me.

I loved how unexpected the pastels and plaid was and that sort of subversive sexiness...i do think Kane is very talented and evolving. :woot:

I can't say that I love this collection yet but I really like it. I'm not surprised to see Versace references in his work considering he does consult/design for the brand. I love the shapes and cutouts. And this is so refreshing after so many dark collections. I could actually see Anna Wintour in quite a few of these pieces with the slits taken out and she seemed pretty content with the collection from the video.

The vest, blazer and suit were so out of place though. I really just don't see where they fit in with this collection. Definitely a "Huh?" moment. I would like to see him do more suits though and show us that he can do more than just wonderful dresses.

I really can not say that I love this collection but it is not all that bad.

Hmm...i only like 2 to 3 pieces in the whole collection..I like it overall, But i would say it was not a step forwards for kane. And i agree, the suit is totally random.

I don't mind the idea of pastel gingham actually, but the shape of the dresses and skirts are unappealing to me.

Call me crazy, after we all hailed the death of the trend, but this is just a big fat trend in the making. And here am I, sitting in front of my computer, giggling excitedly, cause spring next year means checks and pastels and lace and pearls. The guys don't really deserve an originality award for that, though. I mean pastels in spring? Yeah, quite the revolution. :P
I love this, the shapes are very Christopher, the cut-outs, the lining, it has the twist that Luella kinda lacked. Saving for that yellow dress already...

I just can't stop thinking about the famous swedish beds... hästens!
you cannot even imagine how much i've always dreamt of those beds !
they are amazing ! my grandma has one !!

anyway .... i like the collection. though nothing really exicting in the end.
this season is really "show me yr skin !!!" ...
i like the cut of these but don't know if it will look good on "normal" girls. the checks don't bother me at all.

gosh...how do you make the screen come up
check the vb codes of tfs

Can't wait to see what he does for Versus, will be interesting to see if he is able to successfully work on two things simultaneousley. Gutted Style.com aren't doing their videos in London, Tim Blanks was saying its becuase of all Conde Nasts cuts, just seems like a really bad time when London has had such an incredible season!

So amusing and complete. I mean, everything comes from this collection comes solely from two things: the pattern and the female body! Revival or not, Kane brought a very intricate collection with daring cuts and that's exciting.

This is the first collection where I can see myself wearing every single piece. I really love this - the softness and the understated erotism, wonderful. And at least it is summery!
