Comme des Garçons S/S 2022 Paris

I create. The process of creation certainly isn’t just feelings spilling out and then voila! Un chef-d’œuvre! Most individuals involved in the creative arts would probably say the same thing.

Well, I don´t know about how your creative process works; but in my case the feelings are the most important thing. Then comes the technical part, which allows me to execute my idea and bring it to life....but without feeling something I cannot create anything.

A "masterpiece" for me is just being able to materialize something that I have inside of me. The rest is irrelevant.

The technical part seems to already be intellectualism at work, when we refine that creative force we’ve summoned from deep within. Personally, I think creation involves both the intellect and the emotions. Too much intellectualism and it might end up like a successful corporate product designed to perfection. Too much feeling and it’s no different from what our bodily functions produce in the toilet.

Otherwise, you’d be completely satisfied eating cheeseburgers in a cotton muumuu watching cat videos, instead of engaging other people on a fashion forum.
Hey, 2020 taught us you can have both!

It definitely makes for a happier existence if you don't self-analyse too hard (cause it quickly ends in judgement if you project it on others and.. guilty as charged!), but with the exception of the primal needs previously listed (eating, defecating, sex, sleeping- and even the way we do all of these isn't purely on instinct), everything is informed by society. Even emotions and how we manage them (imagine telling a 17th century peasant to make a shirt so he can get his 'feelings' out lol).

For me the technical part is just a tool I use to give form to my feelings. But if I have to choose between corporate product and what´s inside the toilet...I find more authentic the latter.

I’ve definitely had my fair share of cheeseburgers and animal videos these days

This image made me laugh out loud, like a lost episode of Absolutely Fabulous. Or Blackadder.

A peasant probably not...but probably telling a 17th century artist about creating something to express his/her feelings could have been possible.

It´s not only about society. There are people who are more rational; and people who are more atuned with feelings.

And creation can also work as a way of escape from reality.

Just another brand that sells $71 sports socks, the collection is just for attention as usual.

fun: love how the hyperbolic houndstooth starts to look like anything but when you stare at it!
