Constance Jablonski

I'm glad that Constance had a perfect birthday! Being 21 is very special.

I didn´t know she was young... I always thought the was mid-20s.

Oh she was born in -91 then, like me :D Somehow she is just so mature that I would never guess she's the same age as I am.

Chow Sang Sang??? Geez she really will do anything that thrown at her won't she :ninja:

Huh? Top models do Asian campaigns all the time. I don't see anything weird about this one at all.

Frida was the face of CSS last year and now Constance... they're obviously trying to raise their profile.

There could be a ton of reasons for her doing it: a lot of money, a deal with her agency, an important photographer or an important stylist...

I really don t think it is fair to be judging this way.

I do agree that she could be a little more exclusive in her choices. Like the ad for Louis Quatorze bags and Beymen fashion brand she did this season: who ever heard about those? It cheapens her work instead of raising her profile.

Yeah but guys we don t have any ideas of what reason she is doing those jobs so I don t think we should judge any decisions that are made. Maybe she is happy with what she is doing. Who knows!

Also just wanna add that most of the girl have been making big money in foreing countries like Asian market or Turkish and it always been that way. Now the only difference is that people get to know more as the exposure on the internet is growing.

Well, I actually agree that she should be more selective, but these foreign market campaigns are not the problem. They don't really "count" if you know what I mean. It's fully accepted that even the biggest names appear in random Asian (usually) campaigns. How is Constance for CSS any different than Freja for Moussy or Karlie doing ICB, Obzee, Lewitt etc?

And maybe I wasn't being clear, but I meant that CSS are raising their profile by using international top models, not the other way around.

Anyhow.

^I think "western" people in general are unaware of how huge the asian market is, I´d say that Korea/China/Japan combined are as big as Europe & US (if not bigger). I think their market is so big that they have no interest in expanding to the west while you see labels like Prada doing special shows in Asia every season... my point is that Constance being in an asian campaign is not a detriment to her career.

Yes, you're right, and I didn't mean to lessen the Asian market in any way. When I say that they don't really count I mean that this type of money jobs don't affect a model's image. Because the high fashion and modeling industry is still very Western-centric, the reasoning is a bit as if ads that don't run in US and European magazines don't exist. Models can get away with doing some pretty cheesy stuff for Asian clients because there's no prestige attached to these labels (from a western perspective). Until recently, we didn't even get to see most of the ads.
