Cover Rumor Thread

Kim Kardashian and Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott are working together in Los Angeles. Giovanni Bianco also just delared his love for Kim on Instagram, tagging his location at Milk Studios in LA. A possible Vogue Italia cover in the works?
A good possibility...Kim is super excited about it ....

This Kim for VI sounds like a done deal, great detecting, Vogue28!! I can see it happening. Just a pity we're already over her.

A Big no!!

Franca may have had a lot of questionable decisions throughout her tenure, but not as questionable as this. This is just tragic. Never had I thought that I'd see the day that Kim K. would grace the cover of VI. The new EIC is seriously making it so hard for me to like him (not like I matter).

What once was a very inaccessible and exclusive magazine is now to be covered by Kim K., which by the way, I agree, was so yesterday. I'm not against them supporting a new batch of models, but it's completely different when it comes to celebs. Leave them to commercial magazines — unless this is the direction

Question regarding British Vogue:

If September is the last Alex issue, then, is Edward now working behind the scenes as well for the October issue? Or does the October issue still contain Alex's choices and we'll see Edward's full control some other issue?

I doubt September, but do we think Janelle Monae has a shot at a cover of US Vogue? I think the editorial would be beautiful. Janelle is a chameleon.

Heard that Shulman has a little over two weeks before its her last day in the office. :bounce::buzz::evil: So since they are now working on the Sept issue, it means Edward must be getting a nice start with the Oct, and most likely has the issue booked by his liking already. There could be some written.etc content that is maybe set, but the cover, and eds should be all Enninful.

Re Kim on VI, I have to agree that it's quite shocking to see they shoot her for the cover. I don't even get worked out over KK, she is easy to avoid, but now? And wow, not even Rihanna got it!

Vogue appears to be melding the worlds of Hollywood and art.

According to sources, the Condé Nast–owned glossy has paired actress Jennifer Lawrence with artist John Currin for its September cover.

A spokeswoman for Vogue would not confirm or deny the news, offering instead: “We do not comment on rumors of future editorial.”

The collaboration would come at a time when the Academy Award-winning actress is releasing a new slate of films in the fall, including “Mother!,” which is directed by Darren Aronofsky. (Perhaps coincidentally or not, Lawrence is also dating the “Black Swan” director).

But back to the collaboration. Like Currin’s art, which has a satirical, yet provocative bend, the similarly colorful movie poster for “Mother!” depicts a campy, bucolic portrait of Lawrence holding a heart. That poster could serve as inspiration for the partnership, insiders speculated, although those musings were not confirmed.

Despite there having been countless examples of big designers working with well-known artists, magazines partnering with artists have normally been relegated to the smaller, more niche publications. For instance, Garage Magazine worked with Urs Fischer last year to create a cover featuring Beyoncé, and Vogue’s younger sibling W Magazine often works with artists to produce striking images — and then there’s, Interview Magazine, which was founded by artist Andy Warhol.

Nonetheless, the tradition of artistic covers is also part of Vogue’s DNA. In the Forties Vogue tapped the likes of Salvadore Dalí, Man Ray and more for its covers.

It means Lawrence is the first actress in their history to get two Sept covers, that surprises me, and its lame since its their 125th Anniversary, and they could have used someone new!

This doesn't sound exciting at all. Well what a good way to represent Vogue really — uninspired

I don't know about y'all, but I'm excited for J. Law to cover Vogue again! I know a lot of people really don't care for her, but I love her bluntness and other "flaws".

Bring on September. Because 2015 and 2016 Sept covers were so bland.

Ugh, this is not great news at all! Why her? Getting 2 x US Vogue September covers is such a big deal for a celeb. Not even the likes of Nicole or Paltrow got it, and they're far more worthy of this specific cover tbh! Jennifer supposedly doesn't even care for the fashion industry nor Vogue's special anniversary - she only sticks her head out when there's a film to plug. These sort of actresses shouldn't be getting Vogue covers, I'm sorry! Yes, the anti-fashion, I fart and trip and curse like a sailor schtick is all very amusing, but it's as overrated as a Kim Kardashian nude shot.

Also, can media outlets stop asking Vogue to confirm a cover rumour? They won't say sh*t, 99.9% of all times. It's so futile to read 'We do not comment on rumors of future editorial.' time and time again.

Nicole Kidman should get the September cover, she's had an amazing year and will release a whole bunch of movies in the fall as well.

V Mag posted this preview of their next issue, do you think Grace will get the cover or just a feature?

There's nothing that gives us more pleasure than announcing the arrival of a new issue and a new season and aligning it with the birth of a new supermodel. If you haven't heard about her yet, get ready you are entering the era of Grace Elizabeth. It's a 16 day countdown until newsstand date, July 6th. Fall starts here!

I bet there will be other girls in the main edit (hence the countdown), but V usually does multi-covers anyway, right?

Grace!! That looks promising, glad so see someone finally capitalised on her old school supermodel appeal.

A preview of the September issue of British Vogue, which will be Alexandra Shulman's last issue:

Is that Kate? (First image, top left with the "Title herel text)
