Cover Rumor Thread

Not exactly thrilled about Natasha Poly on Russian Vogue, not exactly thrilled about Laeticia on French Vogue, not even thrilled about Vogue Italia.

Something bothers me about the magazine these days, is it just me or is this not as interesting as it used to be? In 3 months or so we should get to see new faces, it's always intereseting to see who just has a good start on the runway and who transforms the success into print work. I'll wait...depressed...thanks to Natasha Poly.

Oh boy, i wish it was just you!! But no, its not!

This year has been very creatively poor, Vi was mostly bad with few good issues, same for VP, UK Vogue i wont even bother going there. It was a nighmater year for magazines in my eyes. The good thing is it can only get better, hopefully.

I agree about VP not nearly as good as the earlier years of this decade.

^^ It seems the 'higher-end' magazines have really suffered. Overall I've liked VI 2009 in general but Meisel's work has been really underwhelming there. VP and Vogue UK have just become so boring, particularly the latter. W is so inconsistent.

I'm just glad US Vogue is breaking out of it's former shell, they have had some amazing eds this year, in particular Meisel's work there this year has been outstanding IMO...too bad that they still can't get the covers right

I agree too! Seriously, what happened to VI and Meisel? I used to love every single ed he did. Testino barely worked for VP either?

US Vogue improved in a few aspects though.

I really wish VP or VI would give a solo cover to a black model. Sessilee really delivered in the August issue of Vogue Paris, and she's worked with Steven Meisel five times for Vogue Italia I believe. I know this thread wasn't made for complaining, but I'm just so tired of seeing the same covers. It's getting boring.

A lot of guest editors were on the cover so i think laeticia will be on it. But i could be wrong.

Not necessarily, but it's very likely.

Well I hope she decides to put someone else on the cover other than herself. I think it's narcissistic to put yourself on the cover just because you are the guest editor, but that's just me!

I don't think the guest editor chooses alone the cover girl... I suppose carine helps no?

Isn't it her 6th VR cover? She always delivers for Vogue Russia (or in general, yes) so I am excited...don't care wether it's her so-manieth.

And I have no feelings about the Laetitia Casta news...I feel very neutral :-|
