I love POC representations. Always will. If its a "Black" Issue again, executed properly (not collage style), I'm game.
But you know what, I wish magazines widen their concept of diversity. I've been seeing complaints of some here about the lack of POC cover models, but none complain about the close to none ASIAN representation on the covers of Western Vogue.
Yoon Young was on UK Vogue, but on the fold out. And as far as I remember, the consensus here is that fold outs don't matter. Unless we'll bend that again for you know who. Gemma Chan as well.
Liu Wen was on the cover of US Vogue back in 2017.
Fei Fei Sun on a US Vogue cover fold-out and group.
We can agree to disagree about UK and US Vogue's stance on POC, but one thing's clear, none have taken a bold move and put an Asian on the cover by herself
Vogue Italia gave Fei Fei covers, while Turkey as well.
Liu Wen with Vogue Italia.
