D&G F/W 06.07 Milan

Oh my God the video... the end was like watching a Heatherette or Betsey Johnson show

the theme was related to snow and winter, I suppose, and that's very good with the current Torino games. But the clothes aren't very well designed. Too simple and too much white.

can we talk about the boots? can i just say, they're:sick:

..but i'll have something positive to say later;)

..and doesn't it seem like the spring 2006 collections were showing yesterday?

Lol YES we CAN talk about the boots! It seems at my school the "uniform" is flared Sevens or Citizens jeans, Juicy hoodies and boots like these!!! AHHH! Haha I'm not looking forward to that trend continuing so much here. I mean it looks kind of cute on girls who are a slip of a thing, who are quite skinny (is it a mystery that a lot of magazines point to kate moss as kicking off this trend?), but when you are short and stout and just not "cute" as many of the girls are here..."oy" as they say...it's tiring. Can anyone relate? Diorella, if I'm not mistaken, you are in DC as well...do you ever see this? I feel sometimes like I'm being rude when I go on and on about this style of dress but it just gets under my skin when all these girls have an above average amount of resources, and claim to be interested in fashion, and consider themselves fashionable, and many are sort of bitter and insecure and just not warm...(one sorority favored a candidate bc she had the latest burberry belts from Neiman's   )...and you are looking at like a hot pink metallic $600 bag in class thinking "oh no, that poor girl should have put the $600 to much better use" and you know that (a) they are not even aware probably that some would not admire their adhering so attentively to trends in star style... and (b) they therefore do not care and (c) you just wasted your time/energy/breath thinking about all of this . Haha, that was a long rant, but I simply had to. Does anyone here share these thoughts/feelings? Do you think it's snobby/ just keep it inside? I'm not talking about judging someone solely or even largely on what they are wearing, because some people are simply into star style and things and that is just their thing, and they are cool people otherwise. Perhaps I should start a thread...the post is long enough...haha I am sorry.

and yes, oh my goodness Pastry it TOTALLY feels like it was just yesterday we were checking out the photos of the SS 2006 collection.

do the t-shirts in this one remind anyone of the SS 05 show?

Oh well, I usually find that there is lots of girly cuteness and sexiness in the D&G show..still excited to see all the pictures.

MariaCarla somehow looks very 50's screen siren for this.

Honestly, I think it's a little much. Some things, like the red Marilyn sweater, are awesome and I would buy. The tshirts are cool too-however the long johns are  .

Found the video and after watching it, I thought it was fantastic. However, the models at the end looked confused and can't dance.

I love how there's a piece of fur on the end of the runway, as if the models rejected the tackiness that is D&G F/W 06/07.

lol. actually it was a hat that fell off one of the models and just lay there like the roadkill that it was.

runwaykill actually.

it sure was a "show" but not exactly sure where the "fashion" was!

:ninja:

Oh my, there's Mariah Carey music, and fake snow, and a Santa Claus!

post #11 the model seems like a superwoman with her underwear outside.

i really ador the first post with juz one image i think thats like the coolest thing in this collection.. i dun even wanna mention the boots

^Me neither, but I sure hope we get to see Victoria Beckham in a Santa costume because she thinks it's part of the show, as some kind of D&G Couture.

Lots of knit wears are quite cute. I didn't have high expectation on this line, so I was pleasantly surprised with those cute looks ;)

Totally unwearable...but I like it.

I totally agee. I thought it was funny to see Madonna T's were so prominent as a theme in this show.
