yeah pretty freaky.. or should i say ... dirty couture? it rocks definitely!

yeah..:ninja:
it's quite a surprise...obviously you can only wear this to the club in real life, BUT these would be some MEAN showpieces.
i'm no stylist, but if i were i'd love to style a "sexy" spread with some of this stuff.
it's really just a lot of fun, kind of tounge-in-cheek even...

I'm looking over the collection again....alright, it really isn't that bad if you don't take it seriously as couture :flower:

 dont like it at all...the last collections were much better IMO

The collection is ridiculous...though perhpas in a good way. It's so over-the-top trashy that it looks fun on the runway, but could go very wrong if people were to wear it seriously

After watching the show, the vibe really got into me.,.,.but I'm not convinced about the clothes
I'm not sure I wanna dress 80's or punky again! I mean we left it behind like 5 years ago, and it's coming back so soon...
I felt most of the model's bodies look horrendous, nobody can get away with that 80's silhouette.
the feeling of the show was great of course, with the music and so...the shoes are impressive, but I would wear them with something from the dolcegabbana s/s 2003 collection.

I mean if we are going to revisit the 80's and the punk movement, why not doing something different, do we need neon tights? or shoulder pads??

I don't think so

They could stand a little subtlety couldn't they? If they just toned down each look a bit more, it'd be okay. Some of the clothes themselves look fine though (just not the leggings or the lace!). But doesn't it look more F/W with all that black?
And with that winter-white collection they did this season, I have reached the conclusion that the designers now must live somewhere in the southern hemisphere.

I actually like it for the type of theme they are aiming for. its definitely a wake up call compared to the boring beige, white, black, and grey i've been seeing lately. B)

I LOVE the atmosphere, the styling, the mood, the music especially... but to be honest I'm not a huge fan of the clothes.. but then again I've never really been a big fan of D&G..

The colors are amazing and the pieces are okay, I think it's the styling that throws me off... that and the lace and spikes, both of which look repulsive to me :ninja:

like many of us here, never expected to see something non cliche from d&g ..BUT i was wrong and i love eating my own 'stuck' views.

the 'boys' obviously are lucky to dare a new 'funky' atitude and surprise, they almost do it well... if only it wasn't chanelling jean paul gaultier.

the structure and anarchy of this collection -which i find inteligently styled-sents their sickly romantic brodery englaise dolls to have some fun.

as for the spike shoes..yummy, those are to own, even if i only wear once
i trust susie bubble that stud shoes which may be 'common' in Camden market or the sex shops but for this kind of catwalk they work only too well.
-but i hate the boots, no good.

anyway, either i'm losing my mind or d&g finally had an almost 'good' collection :D

actually, i read today that they aren't licensing out D&G anymore. so that could definitely be a reason for the greater creativity...maybe they want to put more into the collection now?

anyway...i must say that i've been disappointed with D&G for the past two seasons. i'm not afraid to admit that i loved spring 2006 :ninja:

i think this D&G collection is much closer to Dolce & Gabbana than it's been in a while.

and i, too, HATE the spikes. also--hammer pants. i've noticed them in sass & bide, marc jacobs, and this collection among others.

I wasn't expecting them to take it to a punky type of collection this season for some reason but it looks nice. I just have to remind myself that it's D&G, a cheaper line and not take it as seriously as I would Dolce, Versace or higher end labels.
