Daily Exercise

yesterday: ran for 30 min, walked FAST on incline for 30 min. stretch, crunches..

today: walk..

Hmmm...
 
Had a grueling strength and distance workout today... about four and a half miles uphill. :doh: The horrors I will succumb to for cross country training. :cry:

Yep. If it weren't for my being totally booked today, we would have had to do another one. But... it's better than the "Fun Run" where we do a nonstop hour of alternating sprints, bleacher runs, jump rope, sit-up's, and push-up's.
 
I walk in the mornings now because it's summer here in texas which means that's the coolest time to walk. So I walked 4 miles this morning (and everyday this week) I walked slower than normal but I went to bed late so that could be it. Then after I walked I did different weight exercises, leg lifts, and "stretches" to tone the sides of my stomach. I'm losing weight so yeahh!!!:woot:

i went cycling for a few miles, and i got bored so i wrote an essay...excercised my mind...??
 
yesterday:

20 min stationary bike.. hard
40 min walking briskly
20 min arms
20 min abs
20 min stretch
 
I saw two guys jogging the same 5 mile course as me in large walking backpacks that looked like they were full :shock: Is this normal, am I just a big cissy?

I don't think it's good for the typical person, but I've heard of people training for big mountain treks carrying weight like that. maybe those guys were doing something like that.

my exercise today: ran to the gym, weights for 45mins, walked/jogged (well, more walked than jogged :)) home.

yesterday: elliptical for 35mins and 25mins weights.

those were the first two times in the gym in about a month. why? tons of practices on the field, which my body is just getting used to :)

im so out of shape right now, i want to get back to when i would walk down the street feeling so tight and sore because my body was so toned :(
 
Just did a 16 minute Cindy Crawford exercise video, LOL. Trying to get back into exercising, but it's so damn boring. How do you make it not boring? What do you think about when you're exercising?
 
Venusia, I'm wanting to buy an iPod for that reason.....music always seems to make the time fly by for me :)
I have my moments when I'm running and just absolutely wish I could stop and do something else...lol...but I just persevere...a little bit of boredom here & there is normal and strengthens your will power, I find---but I run a beautiful course by the mountains & river so I look at the scenery....and mostly I focus so strongly on my breathing that the time seems to pass.....
 
i always work out in the morning.. so i think about what i'm gonna do that day and other random things...
all the things that happened the day before..
my plans for the week..
what i'm gonna wear that day..
etc.. etc..

and i always run with my mp3-player.. music seriously gets me through my workout..
