Daily Exercise

How many reps do you do per set Chrisdesigner?

Generally 15-20 reps (Three sets) ...during warm ups.
For the eight sets - aiming at 10 reps, for first set of four...usually come in around 8..Second set of four ...aiming at eight, usually come in at around 6. When ive hit the aimed figure, its time to add weight.
Sometimes for variation, i'll add weight for each set, on last four sets of eights. So aiming at eight reps, then six, and so on.
Although all this changes on legs day.....warm ups...squats...40-50 reps., three sets.
Twelve sets of squats, first four sets, aiming at 25 reps, next four sets, aiming at 15 reps, last sets, aiming at 10-12.
Sit -ups im going back to my old routine, so around 700, done in super sets,
first set, with legs straight, second set with legs slightly bent......and so untill sixth set, crunches....then last set, dont sit all the way up, and dont lower all the way down...
Cardio' days, no idea...just row, or whatever im doing for usually an hour.

Monday - 1 hour spinning class, 45 minutes weight training (incl. abs)
Tuesday - 1 hour spinning class, 15 minutes of abs
Wednesday - 1.5 hour team work-out with professional athletic trainers
Thursday and Friday - Rest (if it weren't for French classes, I'd be spinning on Thursdays, too)
Saturday - 1 hour spinning class, 45 minutes of weight training (incl. abs)
Sunday - 1.5 hour team work-out (almost all weight training), 15 minutes of cardio in the morning, 1.5 hour paddling practice in the evening

I was getting ready to go to bed last night and decided to go to the gym instead...14 min on eliptical3 sets of 10 tricep dips (on the assist thing)2 sets of 8 pull ups (this one is so hard for me)A series of crunches...30 with legs flat on the ground, 30 with feet on the ground and knees bent, 30 with feet in the air knees bent, and 30 with straight legs.

:woot: great workout - i'm sure that helped you sleep better last night, too!
when's the 5K? :innocent:i need to mark MY calendar for you ;). 11 training days left until 3/17/08 for me. ^_^

Thank you very much for that...i am very grateful. Although i do find yours, and others here, dedication inspirational. :flower:

:D last time i checked, none of us were professional athletes (though i may certainly be wrong...) nonetheless, using this thread for our own accountability and personal measure is worthwhile - we'll continue to support each other!

Mine is not until April 27th. My main concern is that I run well in the evening or afternoon, but not so well in the morning, which happens to be when races tend to start!

SirSunday
...would this be a St. Patricks Day theme run that you will be doing??;)

My workout tonight:

5 sets of 90 seconds 5k race pace and 2 min jog (at the lake....scenery can make or break your run sometimes!)
40 of each crunch- legs straight, bent, knees up, straight legs
10 push ups
some hammy stretches

Way to work everyone....bringing sexy back!!

hey guys, so I've been really sick (flu) the past few weeks and haven't been able to exercise whatsoever. I'm couch-bound and it's so so frustrating! I have so many important events coming up-prom, graduation, spring break etc and I'm afraid I've gained weight and look like slob.

Any tips/ideas for a good exercise routine? I usually ice skate and do the elliptical, but I'm so inconsistant it's embarassing!

This will sound ridiculous...but when I had mono a couple months ago I seriously tried the old person exercise show that comes on PBS I think. While that is goofy, I would just suggest doing some stretches, pushups, abdominal exercises if you can tolerate them, and maybe some spinal twists until you are feeling better and can get back to ice skating and the elliptical. Being couch bound will lead to that slob feeling:doh:I hope you feel better soon! :flower:

No, I used to be a performer... so I'm so used to dancing nearly everyday!
So now I just dance as a hobby and for exercise.

I do Bellydancing for most. I love it!!

That is so cool! And sounds super fun. I have always wanted to try dancing. I have the skill and coordination of a baby giraffe. I think it would be cool if I could ntake a class that would go slow and gain some body awareness learn about the movement.

Jump on a trampoline
then i go to the gym for about 2 hours
its all very inconsistent
