Daily Exercise

That is so cool! And sounds super fun. I have always wanted to try dancing. I have the skill and coordination of a baby giraffe. I think it would be cool if I could ntake a class that would go slow and gain some body awareness learn about the movement.

Definitely try out classes! They are really good in keeping your fitness levels up, and in the same time very fun, and you won't get bored!

I'm sure you'd make a great dancer! Everyone just needs to find the type of dancing they would enjoy! For me, I enjoy bellydancing the most...

amped it up today: ran 6.5 miles :woot: i can't move right now...

Enuff respect....hell of a job!
Funny after squats i cannot climb stairs...legs just like jelly...

Exactly...any exercising that "one" chooses , should have that element...its the key....find something you "love" doing.

I used to exercise once every two days, but tFS has sort of kept me from doing that.

Today I'll run around the house for an hour, because I'm without a treadmill and it's super cold outside (-22C).

Aaaah, my fitness level has definitely decreased these past months, because I'm without a gym class in school this semester (although I don't particularly miss it).

Hopefully I'll get back in shape. Soon.

Great site! :woot: And they're simple exercises that don't require equipment - just solid technique.

ShuggaStilletto - the only other thing I would recommend is to get into the habit of walking at least 30 minutes consistently per day - it's not a lot of physical strain, however it has the same cardiovascular benefits as running - but won't make you so winded so quickly.

So now I just dance as a hobby and for exercise.

That's the best cardio workout - and fun too. Perhaps that will be my downtime coming up Saturday evening... :innocent:

Keep watching this thread. ;) We're bringing fitness back. :D

As for me, earlier this morning: 30 minutes of free weights - focused on shoulders, and arms.

This evening - only ran 2.2 miles under heavy rain conditions. I put my Gore-Tex gear to the test, and it performed well.

9 training days left 'til my 10K.

wow, thats self-discipline. I have yet to figure out the art of "pacing myself" ... which is why i can only run on a treadmill

good job on the 6 miles!

I only did 30 mins of sloggish dancing today.

I didn't feel like doing anything... but at least I ended up doing SOMETHING!

SirSunday transcends the boundaries of admiration for that amazing paced session.
I think that speaks volumes of the level, of mind and body working together.

After reading through the posts, too many names to list, i wanna send out a big hooray to everyone...
Hope your all feeling great about yourselves. And if you haven't congratulated yourself....please do so now...

For my part, i decided to do a weight run. :woot:

Today - I took a one hour spinning class. Did chin-ups (sadly, weight assisted for now, but I'm down to 30-40 lbs of assistance), triceps, lat pull-downs, hammer curls (three sets of everything, 10 reps) and abs (two sets, 30 full sit-ups and 30 crunches with a 12 lb medicine ball, 70 regular crunches and 10 full sit-ups).

This was a light day.

Then, about 45 minutes of snow shovelling when I got home.

FANTASTIC! :woot: great job everyone!

I almost let the day slip by without posting...:o Unfortunately I wasn't able to get my workout in today...a bit sluggish and tired...but I'll be back on track tomorrow!

Thank you for all of the feedback from yesterday's run...I ran with a former boss who is a marathoner, and a friend who is a triathlete. They were the ones who forced me to pace faster than I have...and I probably held them back. My max pace was determined by the number of footfalls and average time between each in the course of one mile at the fastest I've run so far this year. :innocent: But it's a lot easier to run one mile than any other greater distance...

7 training days left after today...
