I don't know if we can ask this here but i trust ya'll so here it goes..
I enjoy doing situps and crunches.. But i have read it magazines(such as intouch and Us) thats itups dont really do anything and it is bad for your lower back..... is this true? and which one is more beneficial for abs? for tightening the tummy?
thankyou

p.s. 20min. walk to school today..and abs later depending on the response i get lol

Maybe somebody else has more info on this...but I think if you do them properly they are beneficial. I have heard they are good for you and bad for you (just like eggs right?), but have been going to the Abs class at my gym and we do a lot of crunches.

As for my workout today- lap swimming again

yesterday evening 1 1/2 hours of cardio:
50' crosstrainer
20' fast uphill walking on the treadmill
20' stationery bike

Yesterday: 50min run, 15min interval training on cross trainer

Today: 1hr cross trainer, 30min lower body weights

Mondays and Wednesdays- 2hr and 15 min of cycling
Tuesdays and Fridays- 2hr and 15 min of yoga
Thursdays- Squash lessons

Yesterday: Nothing, its my day off!

Today: 15min stepper, 10min cross trainer, 35min run & upper-body weights! Hopefully playing tennis with the boy later if it ever stops raining!

I have been so lazy for the past two days...done nothing
but, I haven't really gorged like a cow so I don't feel so guilty

I ran about 5 km around my neighbourhood, took me about 40ish minutes, :( but my "route" is mostly uphill, so I don't feel soo bad! :)

I took my very first pilates class today!! I'm still not quite sure what to think of it! I'm so used to sweating when I'm working out, and I hardy sweat-ed today...

^^^^ Stick at the Pilates after a while you will feel great. Pilates is more for toning and posture so you won't really sweat :flower:

Did an hour and half Ashtanga Yoga today.

i do karate 3 times a week

yesterday:
running for 10 minutes
light sparring for 5 minutes
free weights (5 pounds each hand) for 20 minutes
pushups (40)
sit ups with weights (60)
various combinations (punches, kicks, sweeps) for 25 minutes
free style sparring for 20 minutes

and about 10 minutes at the beginning and end for stretching.

yesterday: 50min cycle class

today: felt really flat & a bit sore so only a 35min run, 10min walk & 10mins on crosstrainer.
