Daily Exercise

40 minutes on the bike...
I was going to do some time on the rowing machine but it was too hot

Typically I go to the gym 4 times a week and do either 45mins run on treadmill plus 15 on cross trainer or vice versa, and also 3 pilates mat classes a week. At the moment I have tendonitis from too much running and can't do any of the things I love which is v. depressing.

I like to go to the gym 2-3 times per week.
It usually consists of stretching, 20 minutes on the treadmill (intervals between speedwalking and jogging), 5-pound weights for the arms, leg press, leg curl, crunches on an exercise ball and regular crunches/other ab stuff on the floor. then some more stretches before i go just to make sure!
I also dance for 4 hours every Sunday!

and i realllllly want to do Yoga, but its too late to sign up for the classes on campus.... anyone know a really good video?

Ok you wonderful ladies and gents, I am visiting this thread because I need some serious motivation! Since before Christmas I have been bad, so here is what I have done to repair the damage this week:

Friday - 40 minutes elliptical trainer
Saturday - 35 minutes elliptical trainer, 1 hour Pilates
Sunday - rest
Monday - 35 minutes elliptical trainer, a few ab exercises
Today - going to the gym, hopefully 25 minutes on elliptical and some weights

I only have an hour for lunch and I like going to the gym during the day! Keep all of the motivation coming... I find that Pilates at least twice a week makes a huge difference around my mid-section. It's also a goal to do at least 30 minutes of cardio 5x a week. I need to lose about 5-10 lbs. to be back in my skinny jeans.

Today: went to the park and stretched on the equipment set up there then did 5 laps (5/8 of a mile each) ran 2, walked one because my side hurt, ran 1 and walked the last one. And stretched and did like 15  pushups and some other exercises on the strengthening equipment. Came home and did the arm behind back exercise for 50 reps.. I need to do leg lifts and situps later, cause I'm out the door again;)

same thing today only I walked a lap, ran 2, walked 1 and then ran the last one.. And I did around 15 pushups, 20 situps, stretching, etc.....

Well, I'm doing a personal "hell week" before I leave the state.

Here's what I did today:

This morning:
*10 minutes jumping jax

Gym:
*90 minutes tred mill
*crunches/reverse crunches
*triceps
*butt lifts
*inner/outer thighs
*leg press
*stretches

I've also been doing some of the stretches I learned in Ballet when I was younger. I've been told that if you don't stretch after training, then your muscles bulk up. So, I'll be taking stretching very seriously and do a LOT of it.

Tonight:
*stretches
*leg lifts
*butt lifts
*obliques

1 hour killer Pilates class :muscles:

now if only I didn't have the fat on my tummy hiding the impressive muscles underneath!!

stretching before and after running/walking... walked 1 lap, ran 2, walked 1 and ran the last one (5 laps, 5/8 of a mile each)... plus I did pushups, etc....

Gym:
*95 minutes tred mill
*inner/outer thighs
*leg press
*lat pull down
*crunches/reverse crunches
*butt lifts
*triceps
*stretches

Home:
*10 minutes jumping jax
*obliques
*leg lifts
*butt lifts
*fire hydrants
*stretches and more stretches

I'm determined to tone this behind before february:muscles:

^^ I've only heard great things about it;) I'm going to start doing it one day because it's low/no impact and gives you good tone and flexibility:flower:
