I went to an hour cycle class last night and felt motivated to attend the hour yoga class afterwards..I'm hurting today!

I need to start running more regularly..

walked about 1/8 mile, ran 3+ miles, walked 1/8 mile......
plus I did weight lifting:muscles:

oh wow, how do you guys run more than 2 miles a day? For me, thats crazy because I'm not much of a runner.
The only attempt I made at running a mile was in PE in 9th grade and that was a disaster.
Keep up the good work!

^^of course today is the day I take off from running:lol:

walked 3 miles for a relaxing day... going to do the rest of my exercises in a bit^_^

30 min on elliptical
60 min bodypump class

i'm sweating like a little pig

Whats body pump class?^

I did about an hour of weights today.

I wish I had time to start taking yoga/pilates classes. I heard that stretching really well like you do in yoga is great for lenghtening muscles that you build by doing weights.

^ yes indeed you should get into yoga and pilates... it really helps to keep the muscles long and lean... or ballet and contemporary dance training:flower:...

Yesterday my dance rehearsal was a total killer on my torso and arms so I didn't do any daily routine:innocent:...

but Today I did...

... 2hours yoga class...
... and my Daily Routine...
...:boxer: :muscles: :p...

yesterday 40 minutes (quickstart) on the Elliptical trainer. I should really learn how to use the actually programs on it besides quickstart!

Today (goals):
@ the gym:
-'weight loss' program on elliptical
-weights: leg press 90 lbs/adductor&abductor 50 lbs./leg lift 90 lbs maybe?
-30 minutes on treadmill..medium jogging

@ home:
-100 crunches
-25 roll ups
-pilates moves galore...

what would you guys recommend for weight loss? I'm looking to lose about 10lbs in the next month.

Recently I've been running 6km a day and doing another half an hour on the elliptical - is that enough? Also, I'm kind of scared to start weight training because I don't want to get huge muscle bulges all over the place, but is it possible to just tone the muscles and lose some weight by lifting weights?

I don't know how much advice I am really allowed to give on weight...I think there is a weight thread here somewhere that you may want to look at...but from what you have said about lifting weights..I don't think you will get buldgey muscles if you do light weight training pushups and tricep dips are also easy ways to tone the arms and I have found that running is about the best exercise for me for abs legs and booty^_^

I about forgot that I had a question for all of you fit people!

Has anyone ever experienced an injury in the achilles tendon? I was in cross country and track for years and never had any problems, but now something is defenitely wrong with it. I have been trying to take it easy on my tendon by wearing flats (:( ) and icing it and laying off running. I am going to ask my chiropractor for some advice as well (he's into sports injuries b/c he is the Cleveland Brown's chiropractor) but do any of you have any other ideas about helping it heal or excercises I can do to keep stress off of it. Thanks in advance for any ideas you may have.
