Juliet - I have seen better results when I'm increasing the speed and using the incline on the treadmill. I've been working out at the gym since January, but I haven't used those things until fairly recently...and I just noticed that I have some definition on my legs!

yesterday: 40 min stationary bike, stretching,
today: 80 min stationary bike, stretching

1 hour of strength training with my personal trainer

Hello all. Great thread.

I just wanted to post for all the people that get discouraged like I used to when I didn't look like Gisele after two weeks at the gym. :p
I was never fat but I ate really bad like junk food all the time and skipped breakfast and binged other times like we all do on busy schedules and gained ten pounds that I didn't have a few years ago and was just really unhappy with my body and myself.
About five months ago I just decided to stick to three times a week at the gym with 30-40 minutes cardio and about half an hour of weight training. Of course I had down days when I just stayed home and ate everything in the fridge or days when I just didn't feel like it and didn't go. But I made myself stick to it. When I couldn't get to the gym just charged my ipod and walked to the grocery store and bought fresh fruit and healthy snacks and that was a workout. I ate healthy. I didn't starve myself at all and just replaced the bad stuff with the good stuff and ate four or five times a day and drank lots of water etc. Once a week I gave myself off to eat whatever I wanted.
Now I can say I have a body I've never had in my life ever. I'm toned and tight and lean and I feel awesome. I actually get guys checking me out on the street! Well maybe a lot of pervy guys and some bums but still guys!
Anyway I just want to say stick with it and it works. Sorry to sound like a stupid infomercial for some stupid diet but really there is no miracle diet or plan or spot exercises. You just gotta stay disciplined and be patient. :flower:
