Dancer Inspired Styles

^ beautiful pictures estella...thank you so much for bumping this thread, I'd forgotten how much I missed it. ^_^

As a ballerina myself (14 years) I think it's wonderful that fashion is picking up on the dance vibe. I've always thought that dancers would make some of best models because they are all so thin/toned and know how to really work with their bodies

I think some of the clothes look a bit dancer inspired (wrap tops, ruffles, leggings, leg warmers) and the pastel colours really remind me of ballett outfits.

Im a dancer & I could seriously hang out at this topic all day... loooooooooooove!!

This is definately a trend I love; I've seen a few tutu skirts I like and of course ballet flats are my first love.

I'm a dancer too but I can't say that I care to see dancer inspired clothes on the runway. It looks corny a lot of the time. I say leave the dance wear to the dancers! haha

they are so graceful and elegant, they move so quiet and they def. develop the best posture to strike a pose, or walk or any action. Ballet costumes are so inspiring to feel girlysh but at the same time elegant

I was a ballet dancer for about 12 years and I know that we can be graceful when we want to be, but most the dancers I know walk around like truckers! People are always telling us to walk softer, maybe it's just the dancers around her but that's my experience. haha.

But I think that if they actually tried to walk gracefully they could be great models. All though I am not sure how I feel about this look, I am not disgusted by it but I'm not thrilled. I guess it's just mediocre and I'm neutral to it. :)

wow i haven't notice this thread before. the clothes look absolutely amazing and cute. i've always loved tull

mj had nice combination of different pastelcolours. liking those pictures

i've been in love with a few ballet inspired looks too, i like the look of the 70s and early 80s gear

i love ballerina cut tees and camis in muted colors like cream, army green, grey, and slate blue or rich violets, black, burgundy with pleated skirts and simple ballerina cut wrap dresses with low heeled pumps, grecian wrap sandals, or high wedges

i also like the unitard but will keep it for yoga class only cause im not really fond of legging mania

i like this look cause its retro, flattering, feminine, romantic, but minimalist at the same time yet lets dramatic accessories shine

^ They do to me too. Especially the second one because of the tights and the first one because of her arms. Good Eye Fiancee!

Isn't Ballet Beautiful?

I had been inspired recently by images of ballet performances and dancers.
And not just ballet but many forms of dance...
I thought it would be nice to share some of my favourite images and video links here...I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum, but I hope so.
Please feel free to contribute! I would love that!
